Re: "Super Sidekicks 3 Or Ultimate 11?" - Plaion Wants To Know Which Neo Geo Games You'd Like To See Re-Released

Moroboshi876

I also would love to see games that aren't the ones that we saw re-released dozens of times, but let's face it: they'll try to get the most money they can, naturally, and the fact that Metal Slug is the Top 1 seller shows that the average consumer wants the big names, especially if they are the rarest to find in their original form.

Personally, I would buy Windjammers, Nightmare in the Dark (unreleased digitally or otherwise), Double Dragon, Neo Bomberman and several games that I know are almost impossible for licensing reasons.

Re: The Series That Spawned 'Flying Dragon' & 'Flying Warriors' NES Is Being Revived After 25 Years

Moroboshi876

Even if it's in Japanese only these games are playable, so as long as they're available on Western Steam it's better than nothing.

But I still hope it comes to the Switch, physically if my wish can be granted. And the re-release of the rest of the series would be the cherry on top.

I got Fighting Simulator 2-in-1 (aka Hiryū no Ken Gaiden) on Game Boy as a kid, and weird as the game was, I found it very fun.

I don't know why, but the main theme of the series is one of my favourite video game songs.

Re: Evercade Range Expands With Two New Carts And A Banjo-Kazooie-Packing Super Pocket

Moroboshi876

For those wondering, Blaze has heavily hinted that there will be a cart with more Rare games this year, and other Super Pocket editions have seen their games re-released on carts before, no worries.

As for Banjo-Kazooie working on this thing, they said it's a native port, that's why. And they also announced an analog controller due in September, so we're definitely seeing the game out of the Super Pocket before the end of the year.

Mega Cat 3 has been a letdown for me, I was hoping they would include bigger games in it, owning the likes of ZDF and Project Blue. I don't think I'm gonna buy this one. Activision 2 I will, after all both Activision carts have games that aren't on the Atari 50 Collection and aren't expected to be in it as a DLC either.

Re: Review: The Turrican Collection (Evercade) - A Proper Anthology

Moroboshi876

If I had gotten the Turrican Anthology vol. II for Switch from Amazon Japan to complement the barebones Turrican Flashback release, like I was planning to, I would be angry, would've spent too much money and would definitely skip this cart.

But I didn't, so this is a collection that solves the problem, will definitely buy it and I guess I'll keep Turrican Flashback for Switch in my collection because it was dirt cheap and I don't mind having it if I fancy some Turrican and don't have the Evercade with me.

Re: Achievement Unlocked - This Free Service Has Changed The Way I Play Retro Games In 2026

Moroboshi876

I'm an achievement fan as long as they're not things that feel like a chore or are insanely difficult to perform, and sorely miss them on Nintendo consoles to the point of purchasing some games elsewhere for that reason.

But I don't really know how it works. I mean, can I use Retro Achievements on a BatleXP G350? On a Raspberry perhaps? It would be really cool on Evercade, by the way.

Re: Community Challenge: Can You Beat Battletoads' Most Notorious Level?

Moroboshi876

Like others mentioned, I was able to beat it on Game Boy as a kid. Since I can't on NES on Rare Replay I assumed that the GB version was slightly easier, but it could just be me that I'm rusty.

Anyway, I do remember getting to later stages and struggling with the snake one. Maybe I used the Game Genie, I honestly can't remember.

But obnoxious as Turbo Tunnel is, it's kind of addictive, isn't it?

Re: After A Year Of Radio Silence, My Arcade's Sega Mini-Arcades Are Coming This Year

Moroboshi876

Anyway, I kinda feel that this is a huge downgrade coming from Astro City Mini. They should have made the first one with more games or now a third one with the remaining interesting ones and even more obscure titles mixed too. I love that the Egret II Mini can be expanded with the SD slot, it started with 40 games and now they're 90. I didn't mind buying the second Astro City Mini with vertical games. Would prefer a third one than these toy-like devices, even if I end up buying one or two.

Re: After A Year Of Radio Silence, My Arcade's Sega Mini-Arcades Are Coming This Year

Moroboshi876

One year after my comments, I almost forgot about these things. Anyway, I'll consider some of them, but not all. Mainly Out Run, with the Outrunners arcade being available for the first time at home. It's not that it hasn't been ported as it incorrectly says in the article. It got ported to Mega Drive, for better or worse. Emulated arcades on consoles don't make them less arcade-only, since they're not ports. They're exactly the same, only emulated.

Re: The Company Behind Arcade Archives Is Teasing Something Big For Its 500th Release

Moroboshi876

An expensive license with an expensive price tag for sure.

About Ms. Pac-Man, it can be done. It's a matter of Namco not wanting to pay for the inclusion of what considers to be theirs in any collection. Hamster could. Not sure about this game being THE game for the 500th release though.

But it would be nice of them to do a 50% off across the entire line-up as a celebration, wouldn't it?

Re: Turrican And Taito Collections Are Coming To Evercade

Moroboshi876

Looking forward to the Turrican Collection especially, it's Turrican Anthology but on one cart, which is great. Missed chance to include Game Boy and C64 versions, though. And this time there isn't a 1 in the cart name. Not that it would have been a warranty of more carts to come, after all the Evercade has several Collection 1 without a 2.

@slider1983 @JoakimZ As in the Turrican collections for Switch and PS4, the Turricans without a Mega or a Super in their name are the Amiga versions!

As for Taito 3, it overlaps heavily with the Egret II Mini again, but has the first Puzzle Bobble, that I have on Switch but I'd love to have for the Alpha, so I'll wait for a sale on this one.

Re: Review: Rare Collection 1 (Evercade) - 12 Classics From A Legendary British Studio

Moroboshi876

It's definitely less value for money than Rare Replay, which I own and enjoy a lot still nowadays, but yes, the portability is a good point here, and let's face it: most Evercade fans will buy any cart for completion reasons anyway.

I doubted a little initially because I already have 11 of 12 games on a much better package, but I'd like to play them on the go, so I preordered already. And the Conker portable adventure kind of justifies it.

We can expect more overlapping on upcoming -and already confirmed, although without titles announced- Rare Collection volumes.
