Those people from Bluesky should stay quiet, because even though they knew we wanted this translation, none of them did it, focusing on smaller games instead.
Time Extension turned into a site about AI controversies and nothing else, completely ignoring the RETRO that got me here from the start when there weren’t any comments. These are editors who hate AI and give a platform to crazies on social media because it brings engagement.
I really think that at some point people will compare AI to Hitler, just because they don't understand that it's a tool and it's the human who does the final work.
And I'm not exaggerating seeing the insults these people spread on social media in the last 7 years..
I loved those toys, especially the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers one that disappeared off the face of the earth and I never found it anywhere again. It even had the Megazord in the game.
SONY really has to be thankful for the "piracy" of the PS1 and PS2, because they would never have sold so much or become popular worldwide if it weren't for that, since they weren't even good at officially launching the console in several countries and bringing the games.
Xbox 360 is the example of how this changes things: From a brand nobody bought, to piracy where it became the best-selling console in the Xbox franchise.
Everything that focuses on activism will someday cease to exist. This behavior was cool until 2022, now it only bothers those who want old-school entertainment.
There’s a limit to size and comfort, and this has neither. Too square, too small and too powerful for something that’s only good for GBA games, not gachas. If it can connect to a TV, it might have a purpose, but just looking at it makes my hands hurt. The DS Lite and original GBA are bigger than this and start to get uncomfortable, too.
Ayaneo is really behind (not to say incompetent) with their projects meant to provoke someone, by the way, the Pocket Play. Besides, there’s already the RG34xx SP and the RG34xx (which is mine) that can already run PS1 and support Knulli and other Linux systems. Even if theirs can run PS2, I don’t think I’d be interested.
Because that’s what people on X and Bluesky like to do: complain about everything, demand changes and contribute absolutely nothing. Programmers are already using AI for support and many artists use AI as a starting point to get an idea of what they’re going to create. It’s obvious that many movies and streaming productions use AI, but they don’t talk about it so that these delusional people don’t generate negative publicity.
They didn't even try to bring Sonic 3, since the original (or ROM) will be 100x better, with music composed by someone related to Michael Jackson that now can't be used anymore.
Every developer, programmer, decompiler, etc., nowadays use AI to get a little less stressed at work. It's fair to say that those who complain are clowns who think they can enslave those who create and cry on the internet so that things are done in the outdated way they want.
I really hope to see these people who complain about AI living in caves in 10 years, far from technology that will be completely focused on local AI.
And as always, they are on Bluesky. One thing always leads to another. Cool, I'll download patched ROMs with AI and translations with AI somewhere else. There will always be options in places that have the good sense not to exclude anything.
"Blablabla, used AI, I won’t buy." Humanity is hopeless. I don’t see this game selling millions of copies, but I hope it does so those Bluesky crybabies stop complaining about everything. They complain about Stellar Blade 2, complain that we have to buy GoW Laufey, think they control the company’s or the consumer’s money.
How am I going to dump a 64 cartridge if I don't have any and all that are for sale are already counterfeit? Is preservation only for those who had money to buy in the past?
Ok, now we just need Animal Crossing for GBA (Animal Island doesn't count). It's about time they released a 'GBA Studio' to make creations for the GBA easier, no matter how hard it is to make this engine.
It looks wonderful. Excellent choice of protagonist. I increasingly believe that Retro will be the future. Enough of extremely realistic graphics that cost millions of dollars to make.
This is extremely cool! I’ve always wanted to give this game a chance, but after playing Tomba 2: Wild Adventure on the PS1 entirely in Japanese when I was a teenager, I never played a whole game in that language again because it’s very tiring. I will definitely play Tiny Bullets.
Hoping that Brightis also gets a 'shadow drop' translation like this one.
I always found it impressive how here in Brazil there were so many exclusive things when Gradiente took over the brand until it stopped, I think in 2000, after that we were almost forgotten by Nintendo until 2017, because of the Switch.
I didn't even play the first one, even though I saw the trailers back in the PS2 era and thought it was really cool. There are so many things to play on the PS2 over all these years. I don't know if a sequel would be successful.
In short: I can't buy anything cool because someone on the internet added 2+2 and came up with a new conspiracy theory? It really reminds me of 'Stop consuming Harry Potter because you hurt... people'.
I have an old Artbook (I think it's unofficial) released in newsstands exactly with this theme and it's wonderful to see how cool the artistic freedom that the Japanese (and other Asians) had was. Unfortunately, the world is becoming boring, and if it weren't for Nier, Stellar Blade, Gachas and some Asians games that truly create, we would be left only with monotonous games with realistic stories focused solely on suffering with no fanservice.
Soon will discover that AI was used to decompile the game and start crying 'the port doesn't represent me' or 'I will never play this,' and everyone ignores it and plays anyway.
I have always really liked the idea of the franchise, but it was only common on SEGA consoles and I could never play it. I like the 3D Dreamcast version that was re-released. This one seems promising for mixing everything and allowing you to play with various cute characters. Fanservice is life.
But without a version for Switch 1, I wouldn't play even if you had a Switch 2.
The quality of the models, textures and animations is impressive. WoW 2004 was always praised for being Heavy Metal, Dark and with a lot of Fanservice, but above all for having incredible art and animations like Disney's on the models.
It will always be my favorite handheld console and it's really cool to see Chinese brands cloning the design like the RG34XX, since a refurbished GBA is very expensive nowadays.
If we look in political terms and activism, we know exactly who the people who are complaining are. We should just ignore them, because without AI, I doubt that half of this Ports nowadays would have come out in such a short time.
The human being is a despicable creature that cannot understand the benefit of anything that does not align with their own disturbing interests.
Honestly, this doesn't seem like a false positive. How does a "team" (not to be offensive) like Ayaneo think it's okay to do something like this, especially on the eve of a launch of a hyped smartphone like the Ayaneo Pocket Play? Then some people complain about Chinese spying and say it's an exaggeration. This is terrible for customers who have started adopting their brand in recent months.
Now I will have to wait for Anbernic to make their own Xperia Play Smartphone Clone, because I am not going to pay 500 dollars for something that will be a total part of my life with the possibility of copying everything I do via Android, cameras, wifi, etc.
I really want this, but I won’t have money to buy it because it’s obviously insanely expensive and there will be a HUGE shortage! Where’s Anbernic to make something like this?
I'm amazed at how much this studio has evolved since Mara, which was a very basic game. They literally embraced the style, fluidity, and atmosphere of the 128-bit era perfectly. It's nice to see that they never gave up.
I thought it was awesome. I've had a fat DS and several Lites. I'd play on one of those without a problem. It's literally the original hardware, not another fake. If Nintendo had done just that and increased the screen size, it would sell just as well.
It was so nice to go to a mall and see 14-inch TVs playing Mega Drive and SNES demos in the shopping windows. Going into stores and seeing boxes and boxes of games that I didn't even know existed, because there was no advertising other than magazines, was amazing.
...And Funko is truly a cancer, dull and deformed, that I've never wanted to buy.
