@romanista I've still got my 360 set up literally for Futari, Sega Rally Online, Afterburner Climax, and Daytona. Off that Futari and Much Pork have never had further ports.
Never been a fan of MS3. Shelled out for the home cart back in the day, and still couldn't love it, even at that price (150.00 if I remember rightly). Over long, will bullet spongey enemies, and too many section that stop forward progress.
@romanista I just sold off my entire Evercade Collection because it wasn't really getting used - I found the home carts pretty much shovelware, and when the two Toaplan Collections landed on Switch, alongside the AA range, various Capcom and Sega releases, it was pretty much redundant.
@romanista Egret is bigger than the AC, gotten rid of mine now so can't compare, but definitely an inch or two in it. I thought the Euro release was still pretty easy to grab?
With reason, that game sucks I've never really bothered with their official pages, they've told a lot of half truths and outright lies about their products over the years
Ah that sucks. Dunno where you are, but I never had any issues in the UK. Just got tired of the increasingly mediocre releases, the arcade carts were the only line I had any interest in.
Really, why's that? I just sold my job lot off, the entire thing of licences expiring and cart prices going through the roof was starting to bug me. Probably would have been worth a lot more if I'd held on for several more years, but with a kids 21st and Uni graduation in the same year... Ouch.
Probably jump in if there's ever a Sega edition - Virtua Cop of House of the Dead. I've just switched from a 20" CRT to a wide-screen 36", but the Xbox light gun won't function properly with it sadly.
@Guru_Larry Horses for courses I guess. Of the three machines that gen, I bought all three, PS2 was the only one I sold. The Xbox's HD was a game changer for consoles, and the Cube, well, Nintendo.
Same with Switch, Ninty games, plus an incredible retro library I can take on the go.
Yeah, if the price is right I'll pick this up. I still throw the Speccy version every now and again, got the sheer 'how the hell did they DO this?' aspect, I suspect these will be similar.

Re: Did Somebody Say 'Nintendo 64 Pro'? Watch The Analogue 3D's Overclocked Mode In Action
What's with all the dunking on people excited for this? If my CRT gives out, I'd definitely want the SNES equivalent.
Man, I used to think F1 WGP was the absolute peak of realising visually. Though the rain effects still look quite cool.

I've pre ordered this.

Absolutely - this was tedious in comparison.

Re: Review: Neo Geo Arcade 3 (Evercade) - Includes Some Of The System's Best Games
@RossoftheRobots
It's brilliant. It's very different from SF - moves are damage heavy and it's much more defensive, but the balance is incredible.

@Zeldork
Egret Mini has a bunch of verts and a rotatable screen .......
Gun Frontier and Ray Storm are the two that spring instantly to mind, but sure there were a few more titles that used it.
Re: Hands On: Evercade Alpha Taito Edition - A Bartop Behemoth Packed With Coin-Op History
You can get a stand alone Egret Mini for less with TV out..... what's the point?

I didn't even know it had been ported to C64, gonna have to give that a spin.

I had the Saturn game back in the day. Kind of funny, but pretty average considering the machines shmup library.

Yeah, still got the region free disc, but it's just a pain.

Apart from the guy immediately below me, so that's two of us out of four posters?
It's also got a 38% average on Meta.
There's a reason the Lucas games remain legendary, while this series, well, isn't.
Re: The Studio Behind Simon the Sorcerer's Prequel Is Reportedly Remaking The Amiga Classic
It wasn't a classic though. It's was a pretty poor LucasArts knock-off with some horrible logic.

From memory, the PS1 levels were quite a bit better, certainly visibility wise. It's been a while though.

The Dotemu collection us hot garbage.
And not that good......?
Erm, OK.

Fantastic. I remember having the PAL X360 version on order forever and it went belly up.

'The eventual console'.
Really? Are we still doing this?
How's the controller for Amico Home coming along? 🤣
Re: "We Brought The Rivalry To An End" - Atari Reveals The Intellivision Sprint
@slider1983
A) The Inty Flashback is expensive to get hold of these days, with some poorly emulated aspects.
B) And? They've already made better use of the brand than the previous owners ever did.
Re: "We Brought The Rivalry To An End" - Atari Reveals The Intellivision Sprint
£99.99, I'm in. Still got my original hooked up to the CRT, but the power socket is getting a little loose.

Enjoy! 🤣
