Re: "You Still Can't Beat Me" - 100-Year-Old Grandma Plays Her Super Famicom Every Day

Games of all kind, physical or digital, are a great way to keep the elderly's mind occupied and stimulated.

In her late years before her passing, my late grandma was still pretty aware and quick on things mentally because she's playing mahjong with her kids (my aunts & uncles) almost om a weekly basis.

I don't think I have to explain to people how complex mahjong can be.

I reckon I will be playing videogames till my late years too.

@WhiteUmbrella metal gear solid 4.... it's released during the transitional Bush to Obama administration where 'the war on terror' was still going on, chapter 1 is set in the wartorn Middle east funded by PMC and forever contribute to the 'war economy'....

And I don't know about you but every MGS titles is literally and obviously saying ' US is not the arbiter of freedom & justice it presents itself to be'.

The final boss in metal gear rising is basically a more stable Donald trump... 😂...yes, I do think trump is much less stable in terms of mental capacity compared to senator Armstrong...at least Armstrong is consistent and never goes TACO 🌮

This is really some cool next level 'romhack' done on an official capacity.

Maybe...just maybe....Capcom can do the same for the first Capcom fighting collection....where they can 'romhack' Donovan, Pyron & Huitzil to Vampire Savior 1?

I know the 3 characters I mentioned is in vampire savior 2/hunter 2 in that very same collection but both savior 2/hunter 2 is rejected by darkstalkers community for their 'much less fun' balancing and the community just fall back to vampire Savior 1 as the default option as a whole.

One can dream....

@mariteaux

Valve has a lot incentives to do that because:

1) it's weird private company that doesn't abide to 'normal' rules. Expecting any other companies to be like valve is naive.

2) it's a platform holder. At this point in time, valve makes more money by selling other people's games (and CS2/Dota2 skins I guess) than their own 'legacy' games like half life so of course they can update it till ad infinitum because it's basically more like their passion pet project than an actual product.
