@bbbbbr I probably can but still, I don't like having to embed the full publication when I just want to share the video and make my own comment. I just don't understand why devs won't publish their videos on YouTube as well (or even a simple linkable mp4 format), it's way better for archiving things on the long run.

@bbbbbr That won't help me unfortunately because you can't embed Mastodon at all in WordPress afaik. YouTube is way more convenient for my retrogaming website.

I can't wait for other countries to ban X so that developers/hackers stop posting their videos on X only. T_T

@RossoftheRobots Yes, I've asked someone who is on the Evercade Discord and there are savestates as usual. So I don't really get TE's complains since saves are manual in EVERY Evercade game anyway. I guess the Tomb Raider remasters have auto-save, though.

@RossoftheRobots That's what I was wondering about actually. If you have to save with crystals that can only be used once, like it was the case on Saturn (and PlayStation I guess), I won't get it. Amusingly, most people I know who love Tomb Raider played it on PC back in the days, and on PC you could save any time.
I got stuck in the big room with the four trials and iirc you only had two crystals, so it was impossible to save between each trial, and you could easily die in the platform sequences between each trial. It was a nightmare to me.

Maybe it was intentional to make the cave look even more colossal in comparison! ^^

Edit: More seriously, I think it looks cute, and I actually wish more game boxes were that small.

While the Switch is a great system, the 3DS is still the best video game system ever. Mic drop.

It's weird... The article makes it sound like the game was made to attract people who prefer "Classicvanias"... While the game is a Metroidvania with an 8-bit look, that's all. I'm pretty sure people would prefer the opposite, a Classicvania with a more modern look (like Rondo of Blood for instance).

They could have used better looking USB keys, but most people don't have a CD drive in their PC anymore, unfortunately, so it makes sense.

So the only female character would have been Kelly Kelly? That would have been unexpected.

@RupeeClock Well, the 3DS had the ideal resolution for most retro systems to begin with, but I agree.

I think the poll should have offered two "no" options, whether people think content should be censored instead or not changed at all, even though I assume they meant the second option. They're not just "NES-style", they're basically emulated versions of NES homebrew games.

@PinballBuzzbro I actually wanted to create an Altered Beast spin-off that would keep the same gameplay but turn it into a Metroidvania using the different transformations (and adding new ones). Unfortunately, I can't do the graphics... But most of all I don't have time anymore to create games.

Mean people would say we never got a good Altered Beast 1 either, but I actually love that game.
