@nessisonett I recently installed retroarch on my androidTV, and this retroachievement felt likem such a present.. making me replay games and giving me a clear target in a retrogame (since often just playing retrogames feels a bit'' yes i can play it again , buty what shall i do'.. Since retroarch for android supports is, at least retroid should support is as well..
(and so happy my android tv supports my xbox 360 hori joystick and my 8-bit do switch pad)
From niche this is now picked up by big game sites. Those 20k will sell out in 2 mins.
Will preorder though. Know one of the game developers and seeing him work on his game (daily driver with the crank as a sterring device) makes me fall in love with game once again.. more excited for this than for the switch pro..
Thanx for this article.. i played some commodore 64 go games, and they were indeed not that strong.. concepts of ‘life’ were too difficult.. only in the early 2000s they became sort of worthy opponent..so i can understand Yamauchi-san..Especially since the average go player in japan is far stronger than i am at the world’s most beautiful game...
Maybe good to the add to the article: in the 2016 the alpha Go team of google did figure the game out, by using neural networks, which allowed the game to learn the game like a human, and recognise parter,s so 20 years after chess, the computer did beat the world champion.
This article makes me a but sadder that Go wasn’t included in the recent release of 51 worldwide games, especially if there is a game using a go bord (the four in a row like gomoku)... there are some go games on the jap e store, but they contain to much jap language for me to judge... so please nintendo.. it would release the game to a wider audience.. it’s easier to learn then Shogi. (Btw there are some great manga go games (hiraku no go ) for the gba which received fan translations, and they inspired the youth to play more go 15 years ago..)
