@LioKizer Thank the Gods of endless tolerance for people like you who won't get tired of telling others who to hate and who to tolerate. Even when no one asked... Back to topic, this truly looks like a labor of love. Not very common in todays industry.
Over the decades I've played many horizontal shmups on many systems - Thunder Force IV, Gradius Gaiden, G-Darius, Border Down...all classics, very playable to this day.
However, Gradius V is in a league of its own. To me, Gradius V is the best horizontal shooter ever created. The pinnacle of a design that strarted with Scramble in 1981. It looks even more beautiful today when upscaled in PCSX2.
I would absolutely pay for a proper remaster of this timeless gem.
You can't just push intellectual property into public domain after 10 (!) years only because the rightful owner who paid for it hasn't done anything with it that resulted in a finished product. That's why Emulation - though often not completely legal - is ultimately saving more games from obscurity than companies like Nintendo are willing to admit.
Pyron is a cool and skilled dude! His Street Fighter 2 Remastered edition is basically the best SF2 you can get on the Mega. He also had a beautiful looking Sunset Riders port in the works. Hopefully, he can someday finish one of his many projects...
@OldManHermit Pretty sure Okamoto mentioned that his game was somehow inspired by Walter Hill's Streets of Fire. So in a certain way, this film already exists.

@nilcam I just wish we could go back to a less politicized industry. It used to be all about cool and innovative products.

@RobertPayne556 Steamboat Wilie was published in 1928 and entered public domain in 2024. What are you trying to say?

Re: The Dreamcast Version Of Dead Or Alive 2 Has Been Unofficially Remastered
Dead Or Alive 4 is still the best one.
