That director is an interesting choice, Bad Trip was great, it had the same spark of joy that Dumb & Dumber had in the early 90s, as is The Eric Andre Show which it descended from, I hope this guy's work wasn't ending up a little too subversive and goofy for Capcom/Legendary/Sony's tastes
It'd be a shame if it had, because the main reason people like the 94 movie is for being subversive and goofy, so they really ought to just lean into how absurd Street Fighter inherently is, especially stuff like how strange some of the more obscure cast members can be, it's time for Q to finally make his silver-screen debut
@BBL https://tcrf.net/Big_Rigs:_Over_the_Road_Racing at the bare minimum this version ought to fix custom resolutions, add "Nightride" back, fix it so the CPU winning doesn't crash the game, but retain "YOU'RE WINNER !" and infinite deceleration as those are two of the most iconic aspects but I'm sure they will do none of this as it would require slightly more than the bare minimum's worth of effort
Both players need to have beaten the game with all 150 Pokemon for this trick to work. The Blue version player trades the Red version player for a Dratini. The Blue version then evolves the Dratini to a Dragonite and trades it back to the Red version. The Red version should head to the basement level of the Unknown Dungeon and surf closest to where Mewtwo was. Then take a Fire Stone and use it on the Dragonite. The screen will glitch, and the Dragonite will evolve into "Yoshi". This Pokemon will still keep the stats of a Dragonite, however in the Stats Screen, it'll have Yoshi's pic with the ID No. of 999.
@AJB83 No, there in fact isn't a ton of input lag in Xenia, quite the opposite, they ran tests https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jui8JT3fX9E&t=696s High-level emulation can actually have less input lag than the original hardware sometimes These tests were five years ago too and it's only got much better
I don't buy that it'll suddenly lead to a flood of PC ports, Sonic fans are built different and Nerrel's prophesized flood of N64 ports didn't happen, hell, we never even got the Rocket Robot on Wheels port from that video
I was reading elsewhere apparently Intellivision told them they had the rights when they actually didn't but by the time they found out it was too late, so this has just been sitting on the shelf until Atari was like, you know what this game is pretty good and we have the rights let's put it out
It doesn't exactly feel like Breakout is that reliant on the name though, they could've renamed it to something else because block breakers are as old as time immemorial, but the real question is, is this game a worthy competitor to games like Shatter that appear to have far more going on visually and mechanically, or is it riding off the name? Guess we'll see in time
I do like the Mizuguchian synesthesia element with your actions crafting the music, it's reminiscent of Tetris Effect for sure but it's my understanding bit.trip did that sort of thing predating Tetris Effect
I think it sucks how people who are into this hobby often think that they have the right to live in the past forever and tend not to have a healthy relationship with the present, lashing out when the world outside intrudes on their nostalgia because they let everything else in their life atrophy in the meantime
Worse still is when they try to correct you on stuff, confidently wrong, because they want to pretend everything is okay all the time, when they don't even have the vocabulary to engage with the concepts on the same level as you because they've been gaming exclusively without doing stuff like reading, like I said, it's atrophy, the brain is a muscle, use it or lose it
"It's escapism! Can't you see? It's not healthy!" ~ that one ***** from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance who we all hated but he was kinda right
hmm, it seems even the people who are supposedly satisfied with these turns of events have to perform olympian-level mental gymnastics to rationalize away a tsunami of cruelty and desolation that dwarfs anything we've seen in our lifetimes by orders of magnitude (save for that painting at the Denver Airport with the dude who has a gas mask, an AK and a cutlass), lest they allow themselves to experience even a crumb of buyer's remorse! oh well, maybe things will be different in our next life, gotta stay positive!
hate to be that person (lol who am I kidding) but the Famicom Micro did actually come out here as the Special 20th Anniversary Edition, it's pretty much identical except for the box and the regionality of the words on the back shell
