Ive done the same with snes boxes and i thought it would be cool initially but after youve got a row of these fake boxes it all just feels fake at the end of the day, i much prefer seeing the real carts stacked instead (as i cant afford a load of genuine snes boxed games) and in the case of pc games the cd cases as i cant afford a load of genuine fully boxed ones or have the room.

However for pc games that never had a physical release i do create dvd boxes and print them out.

Dino Crisis as long as its more like the first.

@AussieMcBucket Nooooo lol its not going to win awards but i do really enjoy watching those cutscenes especially Tim Curry.

All i can say is that pixel art on an lcd, or oled looks like crisp pixels, the slot masks and analogue signal is what i love about crt's, especially sd crt's, it gives such a nice look to pixel art and to any low res gaming console.

@sftwn Its not just the signal that defines a classic crt look, crt's have an actual filter on the screen, you cant get that with an oled. Even more noticeable on a standard sd crt as the resolution is much lower than a computer crt.

@AndyVGR Just a shame Red Alert 3 runs at 30fps, thats what puts me off playing it again.

They kept going on about matching the original ps1's dimensions but to me it looks too tall.

@DestructoDisk The motion blur of an oled compared to a crt is the main reason i would never want to use one for retro games. Not to mention youd have to use crt filters which never look as good as the real thing. Im also from the uk with 50hz consoles so unless i got them all modded to run at 60hz then im not even sure an oled would look great without stuttering unless it has a 50hz mode.

@axelhander I dont want to see crisp pixels, I want them to look like they do on a crt tv.

Such a loss! I will always love him in Gabriel Knight 3, he brought so much humour to that.

I did try this game but didnt like it sadly, cant remember why now as its been a while.

@MARl0 My thoughts exactly and they could have easily made FF7 Remake into one game too. All the extra unnecessary padding is what puts me off them.

@AnonUser Thats what concerns me with this digital push for everything. We have this digital infrastructure of control looming over us and all it needs is some wrongthink and they can just limit your access to this or that or claim that gaming too long is bad for you and limit your access to future streaming services. The possibilities will be there.

I prefer keeping my gameboy unmodded for that genuine old school feel.

Still no mention if Terminator 2D: No Fate will be releasing on the Mega Drive or other retro platforms like Xeno Crisis did. There was talk of it before its release but since then nothing.

I dont use facebook, twitter, tiktok and the like so ive saved myself $500.

I still have the boxed version from 1998 and i use that to play it so i dont see any point in me having this as it looks pretty much the same.

I really dont understand the issue with any of the dialogue in re 1. It all adds to the charm of the game and make's it feel like some kind of budget movie which gives it its character. I wouldn't change a thing about re 1, i love it.

Green blood would have been weird. However i saw the uncut version of the intro the other day and im glad we got the cut version of that as its way too gory for my tastes.

I'd say a large amount of big companies are doing bad things behind the scenes.

Ive never ordered from them before and i was planning on ordering the megadrive earthion release but with all the negative feedback im not going to bother.

@NoirConceit totally, i never cared for achievements ever.

I tend to think anything that came out that was designed to work on a crt tv is retro but i guess i would stretch to the ps3 generation as it does feel kinda primitive to todays modern standards albeit similar.

@GodlessPreservation I play on a crt the way god intended and i much prefer this than a steam version.

Happy i can still play it on my PS1.

I tried GT5 and 6 a few months ago and they both had loads of issues with glitches everywhere so i ended up just getting a PS3.

Im glad im not alone in not being happy about the art style of the new castlevania.

@Rik_Henderson Ive been rewatching the whole series of Gamesmaster. I loved it as a kid and i always enjoyed having you on the show talking about the games. So great to see you pop in here.

Ive also in the last few years gotten back into retro games, they are so much fun!

@Johnny_Arthur yes my fav too and i also could never finish it back when i was a kid and i tried it again recently and i couldnt get past the 2nd stage lol so it would be great if they can add some easier modes so i can finally experience the whole thing.
