@Razieluigi It's worth the effort. Retrotink has a Scart to Component transcoder if you wanted to go that route.

@Razieluigi I had an akura for 5 minutes and returned it. It crops off some of the Dreamcast image, something cheap HDMI dongles don't do and something their Scart cable doesn't do.

The Behar Bros scart cable is called the Mamba if you're interested. But that depends on the Rabbit hole you're willing to go down.

@Chocoburger I use them on pretty much anything but I got sick of waiting for the Dreamcast cables the Scart cable I have now looks AMAZING and everything I throw at it just plays if it doesn't there's a Swtich and BAM

@Razieluigi The people who want these things already have a means of hooking them up. The people who just go for a bad HDMI dongle are actually in the minority or people. They'll get them, see how terrible they are then look for something better and it's a whole rabbit hole.

Happened to a friend of mine who has 2 Retrotinks now and got a Mister after all I did was tell him collecting Super Famicom was pretty cheap.... then a beast was unleashed.

I gave up on waiting for them and got the Behar brothers Scart Cable. My dreamcast never looked better.

In terms of building on what was established in Street Fighter and improving on it, Fatal Fury was more of a Street Fighter 2 than Street Fighter 2 was. 3 playable characters instead of 2, earning specials, the plane switching, it just built on Street Fighter. People also forget Fatal Fury was in development before Street Fighter 2 as well.

Legend has it G-Cube was also one of the possible names for the Dreamcast as well.

GTAIII to me is a more important game than Shenmue. This backs up that claim.

I DON'T like Shenmue like at all. But I can't deny how important it is to modern game design. But I think GTA which was developed around the same time really took that idea and Bumped it up to 11.

As much as I want these things...a good Mame install and a good arcade stick I can't really justify it.

Now the Sega cabs same thing but...they're also Sega cabs but the stick for them isn't being made anymore and very expensive so again I can't justify it when I can just boot up mame and Play using my custom Hori Alpha Green Goblin Tribute stick.
