@CookieByte A MS Pac Man Genesis cart arrived DOA once and that's about it everything else I've fixed through cleaning. I do have some Super Famicom carts that need battery replacements though.

I always wanted a CDX too, and some kind of PC Engine.

The arcade version is already part of Arcade Archives. The PS1 version doesn't really add much to it.

I actually own this one back when I was buying import PS1 games like a madman.

Quake served as a preview of what would be on the Fragile and on that alone Quake has a special place with me.

Stop acting like Playstation is the only game in town. Nintendo carts aren't going anywhere and it's looking more and more like XBOX is keeping discs around for a little bit longer too. Actual movies and TV shows are still geting releases, Vinyl has been back and CDs are making a Vinyl like come back too.

Truxton extreme is shockingly good not all 16:9 Vertical shmups nail it but this totally does. HUGE improvement from the Demo a year or so ago.

Also if you crave that kind of Rally game on modern hare Old School Rally is pretty good. Just lacks the musical flare of the Sega originals.

I love that of all the consoles it's the Genesis that's actually being pushed to the fullest extent of it's abilities and beyond.

I wonder if that's why we don't see many new SNES games, because there's nothing left to push.

@Gamecuber I bought my series X Just before Street Fighter 6 came out and Played it almost everyday until I got my PS5 but after a few months with the PS5 I found myself back on my Series X and when Pragmata came out I opted to get Pragmata on XBOX not PS5. Resident Evil Requiem I got on PS5 for the enhancements of the Duel Sense but the other day when I downloaded it on XBOX it looked like a full on Generational leap over the PS5. Disc or no disc, I'm sticking with XBOX moving forward.

@delta7890 I had managed to install quite a bit of DLC when RPCS3 was agreeing with my computer. I haven't used it lately but it seems like they got pretty much everything preserved

Most if not all the the PSN Digital library has been preserved for RPCSX3

The Original PlayStation is still the best one. You break the Region lock on that thing or use an ODE you'll have a library of games you can skip a whole console generation exploring.

I think by year's end I'll have an Evercade. Maybe even a Nexus. The FOMO involved with Carts and the fact a lot of the same things are on Switch have made me hold off. But this thing is starting to go Main stream so more things might be available.

Considering you're basically a 2nd Party Nintendo publisher at this point.

Although Microsoft didi make Halo Campaign evolved being on disc a selling point so that's encouraging.

It could also be because nobody actually owns DVD as a medium unlike Blu Ray

@slider1983 If you collect anime which I do and was seriously considering leaning more into after this week's events, Then a lof of shows and movies are locked to DVD and can only be watched on that format because of licensing hell or the distributor no longer existing.

@slider1983 I'm still buying DVDs and dedicated players are still being made. There is so much legacy contend on the second hand market and it's important we keep being able to watch them.

There's been a 10,000% increase in demand for new Blu Rays and DVDs plus players in the last year and that's' from a Tech radar article published a few days ago.

@Damo M2 made it for the Shottriggers Aleste collection not the Game Gear mini.

@KingMike Rondo of Blood is what got the PC Engine it's popularity in the west.
