A couple of days ago, M2 livestreamed a special event to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its M2 ShotTriggers series.

During the event, the company revealed several new projects, detailed below.

SenXin Aleste

Released in arcades back in 2021, SenXin (or Senjin, if you prefer) Aleste is confirmed to be coming to home formats next year.

Launching on March 18th, 2027 for PS5 and Switch, the latest entry in the ShotTriggers series will include the original coin-op version as well as a new arranged mode called SenXin Aleste Blade. In this mode, you can switch between characters on the fly, and you also have access to the new Blade Missile weapon.

There's also new music by M2's Sakuoki Kudo and chibi-tech, as well as arranged tracks by Hirokazu Oshio.

Armed Police Batrider

Raizing's 1998 shmup is also joining the M2 ShotTriggers range.

Devil Blade Reboot Consumer Edition

M2 also announced Devil Blade Reboot Consumer Edition, which is the console version of Shigatake Games' Devil Blade Reboot – itself a remake of a title from 1996 created using the Dezaemon Plus game engine.

The game originally launched on Steam in 2024 – we reviewed it at the time and thought it was excellent.

The Edward Ragtime Collection

This was a bit of a left-field pick. M2 is bringing Data East's Edward Randy and The Great Ragtime Show (AKA Boogie Wings) to consoles in a special two-pack collection, complete with all of the usual M2 trappings.

Both of these titles are pretty special, so this is a welcome surprise.

Ultimate Tiger Arcade

M2's amazing port of Toaplan's Ultimate Tiger (Tiger Heli) was a hit on consoles, and it's now going back into arcades as part of a new ShotTriggers Arcade series.
