Re: Feature: How A Cult Comic About A Samurai Rabbit Became A Classic Commodore 64 Game

Wow didn't realize they had a game for Usagi. Of course the Commadore wasn't big here in America so there's that.

Also to be honest I didn't know Usagi Yojimbo was its own thing I remember seeing him crossover in the TMNT cartoons when I was a kid then of course getting his TMNT figure one Christmas morning. It was till years later that I discovered he was his own thing.

Re: "It's Just Not Working" - FreePlay Arcade Will Close Its Doors Later This Month

The problem is Arcades just arent the magical place they were in the 70s to 90s.

Once consoles like the Dreamcast came out delivering games on par with the Arcades there was no need to go to an arcade. Why spend $50 bucks an hour fighting playing Soul Calibur when you can get the game for the same price and play it whenever you want and own it for life?

Not only that but now you have emulators which people can download on just about any device including their phones and play games whenever and wherever they want no need to go to an arcade.

Not to mention ports to modern systems like the TMNT Cowabunga Collection, various Atari Collections, Midway Collections, Neo Geo Collections etc, etc there is no need for Arcades.

While I get the owner is doing it more for the social aspect people are alot less sociable these days as they were 30 to 40 years ago.

Re: "I Didn’t Have A Single Ally" - Katsuhiro Harada Opens Up About The Stress Of Making Tekken 4

Tasuki

Tekken has always been my favorite fighting game series, but 4 was the low point in the series for me. The problem was there was just to many changes to the game all at once. Especially Jin. Jin was my favorite character in 3 right after King. I loved how his style was a blend of Kazuya's and Jun's but then in 4 it was a completely new style without explanation. I will say the environment hazards were a nice touch and new characters like Marduk were great but overall the game is my least played Tekken.

Re: Shuhei Yoshida Explains Why The PS Vita Flopped

Tasuki

I had one for brief moment, I mostly used it for the remote play with the PS4. It was nice but to be honest there really weren't any games that interested me on it and the cost of memory cards, Yikes!!

I did end up getting the PS TV at a garage sale a few years ago but again no games really interested me on it.

Re: Talking Point: Is There A Home Port You Prefer To The Arcade Original?

Tasuki

TMNT Turtles in Time on the SNES I find is alot better then the Arcade version. With the added level, the revamp sewer and Neon Night Rider levels, the added bosses of Shredder, Super Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady. It's always has been my go to version of the game. Since I got the Cowabunga Collection I played the original Arcade version once and I played the SNES version a dozen times or more.

Tekken 3 on the PS is another one especially with the addition of Gon and Dr. B.

Re: Virtua Fighter 2 Is Getting A Physical Release On Xbox

Tasuki

I don't know why but I could never get into Virtual Fighter. My friends were into it big time when I was a teenager, but for some reason I couldn't. Maybe because at the time I was too into SFII and MK. Really didn't get into 3D fighters till Tekken and Soul Calibur came around.

Re: Bleem, The Company That Took On Sony And Won, Rises From The Dead (Again)

Tasuki

I remember seeing the bright yellow packing with Bleem written on it back in the day at my local Best Buy obviously that was before the court cases and such. I wasn't much into emulation back then on PS One and didn't own a PC or Dreamcast at the time but I remember it. Best Little Emulator Ever Made is what people use to say what Bleem meant lol.

@Damo Gaming Historian on YouTube did an interesting video on Bleem a few years ago if anyone is interested.
