I've used the Saturn core enough to say that if it isn't 100% accurate it's still the best way to play Saturn games outside of an actual Saturn, and a lot more convenient.
As much as a more capable fpga would be good, the mister project is perhaps just a once in a lifetime wonder. That the platform works as well as it does really feels like the work of a dedicated community of individuals that I don't ever see being replicated again.
Sometimes I miss when people would make insane handheld versions of classic consoles by ripping them up and putting them in plastic shells, but I guess there isn't that much appeal when almost everything can be emulated now. Still, always fun to see a hobbyist do something mad.
A bigger screen and sticks is enough to get my preorder. Have been really enjoying playing Blood Omen, Tomb Raider and arcade games on my exp - and while I know I could get an android handheld I just enjoy the carts and general "plug and play" feeling of the system. It's niche, but they fill that niche quite well.
There's a distinction between vibe-coding and using Claude. Some people use it to help them write boilerplate, but still perform the bulk of the work themselves.
Of course, the long term issue is that such code appears to provide longer term maintenance issues and can be a net negative to the open source community as it's providing greater levels of tech debt and garbage contributions to projects.
Of course none of this is relevant because all you numpties are arguing about "ai being the future" because you have rotted your brains and haven't bothered to actually learn the things you argue about
They should just make a controller that looks like the original controller but with high quality parts.
Never had an n64 when they were new but like half the fun is using that silly controller. All the games were built around it.
Fanboys will hate it but Mario 64 is a lot less fun when played on a modern controller because the game and the controller were influenced by each other.
Was a little confused by this project when it was just emulating SCUMM games but this is cool. I see it can emulate Outlaws and Indiana Jones, too. Might give it a try with Escape from Monkey Island.
It is wild what US customs can do. Some guy at the border is allowed to just tear into a parcel with their teeth and go bonkers on the content? From the same country where you can buy a gun from the back of a truck? Land of the free and home of the brave.

Re: Analogue 3D Firmware Update v1.2.3 Now Available, And Here's What It Does
Never been interested in Nintendo 64 but had some fomo with this when it released.
Did the obvious thing: bought a cheap Japanese n64, a 3rd party power supply, s-video cable and a summercart.
Must say, I think I like this console now but have no need to get the analog 3d

Re: Evercade Range Expands With Two New Carts And A Banjo-Kazooie-Packing Super Pocket
Laffo at Banjo Kazooie on the tiny handheld with the terrible buttons.
Wild to see people excited about the Activision carts but ah well, if that's what you like. I'd like some more crusty microcomputer carts please.
Re: 8BitMods Launches Web-Based UI For Its Range Of Next-Gen Memory Cards
Hate to tell you @Hordak but the VMU Pro has been out for a while now. That's the date of the next batch they can guarantee your order in.
It's a nice piece of hardware if you do get your hands on one.
