Blaze Entertainment, the creator of Evercade, is set to host its first community event next month in the UK, giving players the chance to get hands-on experience with its upcoming handheld, the Evercade Nexus, ahead of its release.
But as expected, tickets for the free event (which includes free food & drink) have already proven incredibly popular, selling out in just a matter of hours.
The Evercade Nexus: Community First Play event, according to the announcement, will take place on September 10th, 2026, at London's Tap Room in Flat Iron Square from 12:30pm to 4pm, and will also feature opportunities to play other upcoming products from the handheld and cartridge manufacturer.
This includes the recently announced Banjo-Kazooie Double Pack cartridge and The DOOM Collection.
There will also apparently be a quiz and competitions running throughout the afternoon, including a DOOM tournament to win an Evercade Nexus DOOM Edition, with £100 goody bags also being offered to those in attendance (featuring a mystery cartridge and other Evercade collectables).
For those in attendance, this will be their first chance to get some face time with the Evercade Nexus, which includes various improvements over previous Evercade models, including a larger display, dual analogue controls, and the ability to play multiplayer titles with a fellow Nexus owner using just a single cart
The handheld is expected to start shipping this October, and is already available for pre-order.
