if I bought something from Habitat for Humanity, and soon after the cops were raiding my house at dawn accusing me of possessing stolen goods, and letting people from a private company also enter my home, I wouldn't call it a "nothing burger."

one thing I always appreciated about first party memory cards is that they generally match the visual style of the console, so they don't look out of place while they live semi permanently in their home, sticking out of the mem card slot.

that being said I'm also afraid of 3rd party mem cards because I'm just a caveman, and your world frightens and confuses me.

oh, how I miss the days of console at home, handheld on the go/turlet. it's how we ended up with roughly half the 2D Zelda games, after all.

are you left handed? I've never heard a left handed person complain about having to use a dpad on the left, and I've been thinking about this since the first time I noticed the Gravis PC gamepad had an accommodation for left handed people. ✌️

I've always been a fan of this controller. different was "cool" in the 90s and I like different 😊👍

you can omit the phrase "on the other hand," imo. it's generally used for contrasting examples, so reading on to see this isn't the case is a bit jarring ✌️

Cool looking game! handheld fighting games are pretty interesting. I personally had tohshinden and killer instinct on Gameboy and I found them to be better than and satisfyingly similar to the console variants, respectively. 👍

I also "don't play sports games" except I also do lol. I highly recommend NFL2K on dreamcast as an example of a sports game that showed me how good they could be.

there's a real atmosphere, and the personalities and animations of the players, attention to detail, and realistic color commentary just felt like the absolute future in 2000. the gameplay is real straightforward and snappy, too. "arcade like."

also taught me a lot about football, to the extent that I could actually follow along when I went to OSU games with my Grandpa ✌️

anyway we'd be interested to hear if you decide to try some sports games! 😊👍

I purchase and play old sports games when I randomly see them at junk shops etc. I like em 😊👍

also "other" sports like Olympics and fishing can be interesting. and usually cheap.

my most wanted sports games right now are Nagano 98 on 64, NFL2K on dreamcast. but I'm willing to wait til they show up at Goodwill 😂✌️

I eventually got a PS2, but I was die hard DC til the end. the difference was clear.

PS2 ended up a great console, but as you said it took a while to really see it. ✌️

I have never felt more engaged with a console, following every release. it was exhilarating, by far the most exciting "launch window" period ever, and probably always will be for me.

looks like a tremendous thingy! I'm impressed with the feature set, particularly compatibility with old VMUs and MP3 playing.

in fact, if it's a good MP3 player I could see myself buying it primarily for this.

TBH I can easily get very excited about this thing in theory, but when I look at it I don't even want to touch it. it's just horrible. all-black wouldn't even fix it. it reminds me of electronic toys made for children in the 2010's.

I got my 8bd64 controller about a week ago, and I can't put it down! it's by far my most comfy controller, the buttons and triggers/bumpers are PERFECT, the dpad is very good, and the stick is the best I've ever used on any controller. I will be buying another. 👍

I got really into Sega rally 2 on dreamcast when I was a kid, and no other rally game has ever come close to capturing my attention like that since.

I've missed it, actually. I might try to check this out somehow even though I don't PC. ✌️👍

right media uses "leftist" and "lib" as derogatory terms, something that is only possible when you constantly propagandize against a group of people and train your audience that they are all "bad" by definition.

If the Tariffs would help a damn thing, I'd support them. they will not. it's just a way to raise taxes on the American people without having to say you are raising taxes on the American people, meanwhile allowing corporations and the very rich to continue getting away with murder. so, good, they aren't being allowed 👍
