I once ended up doing work for a scammer who was running comic con events.
His aim seemed to be was announce guests he couldn't afford and then cancel them closer to the date, claiming they were unavailable and replace them with less popular guests. What he didnt think was that the talents agents were also on social media and put up posts telling people he was lying.
I was lucky, I had one of those "was i fired or did I resign?" Arguments couple of months earlier (he didnt like me asking questions and felt i was going to be rude to the guests) and got paid what I was owed.
But all those that stayed with him, when it became apparent he was full of it and the guests he did hire got shafted, his con flopped and he ran off with what money the con had made. Good news is that I know his ex wife took him to court over theft.

So yeah I can understand the anger and upset that this guy has caused his employees and hope people understand they weren't the ones to blame.

Well i do remember them doing a kickstarter for a new dizzy game and couldn't raise the £350k for it.

But to me that states there isn't a market for a modern version of dizzy.

It's true the 'casual' gamer expects modern graphics but then again the casual gamer isnt really interested in a game like dizzy anyway. Hardcover fans (remember fan is short for fanatic) of video games are less likely to buy something if ai is involved, thats becoming clear with all entertainment fan bases.

He's not telling the full truth or possibly even any truth. l've been following system 3 since the ps1 era when they temporarily became studio 3 and 3 things have become common with the company.
1. Delays on just about every game release they've announced except for.
2. Half assed low budget game releases like super fruit fall, arcade classics volume 1
And 3. Promised remakes/new versions/releases of classic c64 games half of which have never come out.

Doesn't sound like Piko owns all of the Gaelco library. I know besides these titles they also got Alligator Hunt but unsure if there are others, Gaelco is still an active business company btw, just not making video games anymore by the looks of things.

@speedyb sounds like they will be releasing One at some point, they just announced it far too early (they did the same thing with breakers and rage of the dragons)

Kinda susprised they axed them since the original pit fighter was popular in every arcade I saw it released in, I mean this came out right when van damme's early films were making loads on vhs.
Then again it really was a bad game and assuming all the home ports didn't sell well (can't think of any positive reviews from the gaming mags)
I mean the middle aged of us still mock it when discussing great fighting games.

Well in regards to archives release I put money that the next collection will be a final fight one.
It also funny that with the new popularity of beat em ups that they are the only one with a iconic beat em up ip that hasn't done a new game in the franchise.

Ace attorney I'm susprised (or to be more accurate shouldn't be) that they stopped making them (although I really didn't like the ancestor ones). I thought merchandise/media spinoffs from the games still did well enough to justify making one every couple of years.

With these failed consoles I would love it if they had a game compilation plus documentary release on modern consoles. No I don't think they all had a tempest 2000 quality game on them (although I've heard the zeeboo's double dragon remake is quite good) but it would still be nice to try something different.

@PKDuckman I wouldn't also be surprised if many of their digital retro releases as well that havent sold too great, their irem collections and especially Osman were overpriced compared to other independent companies retro re-releases.

Because speaking as a uk citizen and talking to my friends living in Russia the answer is no, more people aren't being sent to prison in uk then russia.
Or to be more accurate yeah more people in uk have been sent to prison for fb posts then Russia is because FACEBOOK IS BANNED IN RUSSIA! To stop people from hearing the news about what's really going on with the invasion, where with the Russian equivalents like VK it's easier to keep track of what people say.

@scollurio no Europe does not want ww3 the difference is that Europe has delt with Putin's bs before and like Zelensky tried to warn Trump. Instead Trump being either a) gullable or b) just pretending he's trying to sort it out is sucking up to Putin believing that he really wants to end the war, when like last night it's nothing more then a stalling tactic.

Like with half of Russia, the rest of the world doesn't understand how half of America cannot see how blatantly they're being played.
