Very cool but seems a bit of a reach to say it's made on Atari, that's just leaning into it a bit much right? What if you booted the current vcs into pc mode and typed it on there? would that have the same effect?

I really like it, It's funny we live in this time when you have access to so much and we've found out it's really bad for us. Time to scale it all back. If you get this or not you could always get a nice launcher for your android phone that helps limit use. Social Media, and especially apps like tiktok are genuine brain rot.

@Damo Dude, he's right though, it's not going back, you can't put this genie back in the bottle even though we all wish we could. I've been in IT for decades and hear end users calling the wallpaper on their computers "screen savers". Probably the same type of thing here, He wasn't always Mr. X but he will forever be Mr. X to all of us, just like in the new movie trailer the character in the sewers is now called Mr. XL as that is what the zeitgeist of the fandom has dubbed said character. Also doesn't Mr. X work so well when paired with the X gonna give it to yah! song?

Wade Rosen is doing great work with Atari. Honoring the past and keeping Atari moving forward at the same time. This is a great purchase for them and will fit nicely within their established strategic plan.

The ngp versions of metal slug are very fun to play, the fully captured the arcade feel on a small scale.

I don't understand the appeal of this device at it's price if it was $99 I'd own one but $229? No I'd rather buy a switch lite and get some indie games on the eshop or search around comic con's and get indie made carts and stuff.

So cool! I got this game on launch along with Mario 64 and they ended up being my 2 absolute favorite games from that system. I only got Pilotwings as my mother suggested I get it so I have something else to play as all I wanted was Mario. I was so glad she did that, I never would have tried this game if it wasn't for her!

The 3DO is one of my favorite systems of all time, there is just something about it, ever since I was a kid seeing the ads of this game system I had never heard of, couldn't find in the limited stores I could go to and always wanted to try. Sure when I got older and actually tried cyberdillo it wasn't fun but it's just a good memory I keep. I know own a 3DO and a bunch a games and stuff for it.

I had forgotten about this game, I always liked the title and games like this, that different kind of vibe like Wonder Project J2 on the N64. I'll pick this up, ai or not, at least it's an option.

The DRM on these is a waste, These titles came out when I was in High School 25 years ago who is pirating them to the point that DRM is needed, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they spent more on the DRM than what the pirates where costing them.

I don't know, if the game came out I don't think it would of been a hit, it looks cool because it's more of a legend or lore thing, had it come out it probably would of been the worst sonic game at the time.

Everyone complains but nobody stops using ai

They seriously need to stop with these low effort releases and start offering some sort of translation. Maybe they could build an ai translation tool into the emulator with the disclaimer that it might not be 100% that would be better than just dumping the rom out.

Getting Ripped off by the rest of the world? or cheap crap and video games? I say double the tariffs. Make this one hurt. The long term implications look very good for America.

This is what I'm talking about with a re-release, a localisation, new modes, extra stuff. True effort was put in, I'll pick this up.

@DashKappei I disagree, slapped a rom into an emulator and pushed it out the door.

@KingMike Yeah I know people do like to play legally but what's the point if they are not going to do anything extra, seems like a waste to me.

These are such lazy releases. If all they are going to do is release the rom running in an emulator and a quick how to, one could just as easily obtain said rom and emulator and run it. Some translation would be nice and show some effort.
