From my understanding, he sells weapons to the US government and Ukraine. Ukraine is currently defending themselves and it sounds like this company is helping them do that. Not sure why that's supposed to upset me. Microsoft and other companies also have defense contracts. Should we not buy their products either?
Also, there tends to be a feeling of inferiority if something is smaller (at least there used to be). It's part of the reason the GameCube game cases were the same size as the competition stateside even though the games could have been in smaller cases.
Love this system. I finally got one a few years ago (and snagged the mini when it came out). It has a great library that shouldn't be overlooked. Just sucks how pricey the games are
Was on the fence with the chromatic and now it's my daily player so I'll definitely keep an eye on this. Love what the company is doing. Catering to such a niche audience. Between them and analogue, it's a great time to be a retro enthusiast.
I ended up caving and buying one. Glad I did. The battery life isn't as bad as what was being made out and it's my go to Gameboy now. I have a pocket, a GBA sp , micro and this and I find myself playing the chromatic the most
Swear I remember reading that the battery life was supposed to be 30 hours, which I thought was great, and had me interested in getting one. (Can't find where I read that at so must have made it up in my head. Lol) Seeing it's actually six hours is making this a pass for me. Got the analogue pocket already.
The article says a significant os update is coming on the 12th but the X account shows an update is out now. I'm guessing that's a typo in the article and that is the significant update unless there's another update coming?
I'm going to support this because I love the original but I don't have high hopes for this. Bummer that they pulled the original from the eShop. Even with it being a poor port, I have a feeling it'll be better than whatever this is. Lol, hope I'm wrong.
@KingMike the whistle trick was real. A lot of "tech savvy" people knew about it back in the day. It's also referenced in the amazing movie Pirates of Silicon Valley.
I remember reading that they cancelled it because Capcom lost the code to some of the games but then they ended up coming out for 3DS (and now switch). Did they find the missing code? Anyone have the story behind this?

Re: Here's Why The TurboGrafx-16 Is So Much Bigger Than The PC Engine
@-wc- Japanese GameCube cases were smaller. PS2 just used DVD cases. NOA followed suit with similar sized cases for the reason I mentioned.

Re: ModRetro Exclusive 'Patchy Matchy' Is A New Puzzler Inspired By Tetris & Puzzle League
If the Chromatic supported save states I'd get one in a heartbeat. That said, I'll probably buy some of the games and play them on my pocket

@sdelfin ah, good point. Forgot that the games were just emulated to the 3ds.

Whatever happened to the Super retro boy? It was supposed to be out in August. You guys even wrote an article about it. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/01/say_hello_to_the_super_retro_boy_an_all-in-one_game_boy_solution
