The revived Commodore scored an early success with the C64 Ultimate, which it has followed up with the 64C, a model with a different case design.

The firm – spearheaded by YouTuber Christian Simpson – is also releasing a mobile phone in the form of the Talkback 8020, which is apparently its best-selling product to date.

The company has done business online so far, but that's about to change with the announcement of an exclusive deal with electronics distributor Colby to bring the C64 Ultimate to physical stores.

"Commodore is returning to shelves soon," says the company on social media. "We’ve signed an exclusive retail deal with Colby to bring the legendary Commodore 64 back to stores across Europe, and parts of Africa & Asia for the first time in over 30 years. We're working on the USA too!"

Colby boasts a network of 70 retail partners operating over 500 retail outlets, and says that it "covers the full spectrum of video gaming distribution, including software, accessories, hardware, and merchandise, alongside a growing portfolio of lifestyle and smart-home brands. Our partners include global industry leaders such as Activision, Bandai Namco, Electronic Arts, Konami, SEGA, Govee, Thrustmaster, Playseat, Redragon, Funko, and many more."

Via Colby's distribution channels, Commodore says it expects to get the C64 Ultimate into stores such as "Media Markt, Argos, and more."

Alongside the 64C, Commodore is also launching a special Cyberpunk 2077-themed variant of the C64 Ultimate.
