I've been following this story since before covid and I can't believe at least one state's attorney general isn't investigating at this point. Too many people have lost their $.
Seems to me they'd be better off releasing the original Intellivision titles rather than these "updated" versions. But then they'd still need some solid new exclusive titles like Earthworm Jim 3 to justify a $150+ console. I wish them luck with all that . . .
@joey302 I think Tramiel's interest was mainly in trying to stick it to Commodore after he left and so his focus was primarily on the PC market. His purchase of Atari from Warner interrupted the release of the 7800 because the two argued back and forth over who should pay the subcontractor for its development. If Atari had launched the 7800 nationally in late '84/early '85 and focused solely on consoles, they'd likely still be something of the company people remember.

Re: Arcade1Up's 'The Fast & The Furious' Coin-Op Launches Real Soon
I think A1UP is going to need to find games to release like this to remain sustainable. Can't just keep re-releasing Pac-Man.
Re: Namco's Dig Dug II Comes To Nintendo Switch Today
I know this game was an arcade sequel, but a DD2 machine in the wild is very rare. At least in North America.

The phrase "Atari got greedy" reverberates through video game history . . .
Re: Intellivision Has Significantly Cut Its Staff To Help Amico Over The Finish Line
They've been saying the Amico is "ready for manufacturing" for at least the last 3 years.
Re: Intellivision Releases An Amico Unboxing, Showcases A Functioning System
@Mikmoomamimocki Exactly. Even if it's legit and goes into mass production, why would you pay as much for it as a Switch?
