Re: Daytona USA For The Dreamcast Is Now Back Online, Thanks To Fans

KGRAMR

@no_donatello oh don't worry! That one is in the pipeline, since it uses the same network code as another Sega-published DC Game (but i can't quite recall which one was). I'm looking foward to see Bomberman Online being revived, although DC Unreal Tournament is the Big one the DC scene wants to see revived

Re: Cancelled Motocross Game For SNES Finally Released Almost 30 Years Later

KGRAMR

@JJtheTexan That and if it is a unreleased Game, people will buy them without a second thought. I would pay mad cash just to see Phear (the original incarnation of Tetrisphere) being released on the Atari Jaguar.

Just a friendly observation: the link to AES Super Bubble Pop takes You to the page for Jaguar Switchblade II. It needs to be revised

Re: Anniversary: Famicom At 40: How Nintendo's Console Faced An Uphill Struggle For Supremacy

KGRAMR

@samuelvictor at least we can thanks Hasbro Interactive (plus the active campaigning by the BattleSphere devs and fans) that the Jaguar became public domain. I wish more homebrew devs jump to the Jaguar scene. I actually had two Jaguar back when i was younger in the 2000s and 2010s, because i wanted to play Rayman but i ended up getting sucked into the Jaguar scene in the end XD

I would say the Jaguar does still have its exclusive library of good games like Iron Soldier 1 and 2, BattleSphere and BattleSphere Gold, Power Drive Rally, Super Burnout, Defender 2000, Breakout 2000, Zero 5, Hyper Force, Skyhammer, Protector and Protector SE, the janky Ultra Vortek, and Battlemorph, as well as homebrew games like Rebooteroids.

Re: Shocking Study Reveals 87% Of Classic Games Are "Critically Endangered"

KGRAMR

To give my two cents on the matter, i think homebrew games and especially unreleased games should be preserved as well. Homebrew games are a testament of the fans' love towards a particular platform, while unreleased games should be a top priority, given that the existing builds are literal time bomb waiting in line for the dreaded bit rot.

Re: Best Atari Jaguar Games

KGRAMR

@Sketcz Well Jaguar Bubsy not only looks good, it also has an unusually good soundtrack by Imagitec's then in-house composers Kevin Saville and Alastair Lindsay. Not surprising since they're the T2K guys, while Lindsay would compose for I-War on Jaguar as well.

Re: Best Atari Jaguar Games

KGRAMR

Very good selection of games in this list! AVP, Rayman, Iron Soldier, T2K, and Missile Command 3D are some of my favorite titles on the Jaguar. I would also recommend checking out Hyper Force, Asteroite (homebrew), Rebooteroids (homebrew), Kings of Edom (homebrew), World Tour Racing (much better than Checkered Flag), just to name a few of the Jaguar's limited library. (P.S: i just also remembered Super Burnout! Great Racing game as well)

Re: Atari And Polymega Maker Playmaji Are Joining Forces

KGRAMR

OK that's cool and all, but they should talk with Rich Whitehouse and Digital Eclipse to license BigPEmu for a module compatible with Jaguar and Jaguar CD games. Jaguar and Jaguar CD units are becoming increasingly difficult to find in the wild. So unless anybody comes with a cycle-accurate FPGA solution, a Jaguar game module would be welcomed. Just giving my two cents in this regard...

Re: "It's Like A Dream" - Hamster President Satoshi Hamada On The Success Of Arcade Archives

KGRAMR

This is the kind of stuff i come for this website! Great all-around interview and i hope to see more. Just a reader suggestion, but i would love to see interview with devs who worked on games for ill-fated platforms ir obscure releases. Either way, i'll keep checking out the website from time to time

I do hope that Hamster are able to brind obscure Konami releases like Overdrive and Gaiapolis, or heck even complete but unreleased games like those on the Neo Geo library (namely Last Odyssey, Warlocks of Fate, etc.)

Re: SNES Beat ‘Em Ups ‘Iron Commando’ & ‘Legend’ Arrive On Modern Consoles Later This Week

KGRAMR

Legend is a pretty decent game. My dad (RIP) played it via emulation and enjoyed it. I still wish that Conan demo Arcade Zone was working for the Atari Jaguar surfaces one day. The game looked extremely promising with its huge sprites

Re: Talking Point: Does Video Game History Have A "Nintendo" Problem?

KGRAMR

Those that say that Nintendo is the only one that matters are completely in the wrong. Looking, reading, playing and learning each gaming platform under the sun will give you a very broad overview of the gaming landscape up until now. Everybody has learned from the efforts of another. Look at Nintendo for christ sake! If it wasn't for the ColecoVision, we would have never gotten the NES.

Re: Hands On: Xeno Crisis Continues Its Quest To Be Released On Every Gaming System Ever Made

KGRAMR

@mike_intv @RetroGames I'm confident we'll see a SNES port of Xeno Crisis sooner or later. Keep in mind that Bitmap Bureau are a indie team and they are likely making these other ports as exercises to learn the hardware of each platform.

@Stocksy so a game that cannot run on GameCube doesn't count, Even though BB are providing the DOL file to make it run with the GC Loader?

Re: Hands On: Xeno Crisis Continues Its Quest To Be Released On Every Gaming System Ever Made

KGRAMR

They are dead serious in porting Xeno Crisis to whatever console is capable of running it! They also confirmed in a magazine interview that PS1 and GBA versions are nearing completion, and BB are eyeing other platforms as well.

Here are the remaining vintage consoles (that i know of) that can possibly run Xeno Crisis without mangling Henk Nieborg's artwork: Amiga, Atari Falcon, 3DO, Atari Jaguar, Sega Saturn, PS2, Xbox, SNES and PC Engine.

Re: 'BigPEmu' Gets Support For The Atari Jaguar CD

KGRAMR

Once the BigPEmu receives support with the JagLink it's over. I'll demolish anyone on BattleSphere and AirCars XD

Jokes aside, i hope someone who has the elusive but unreleased Jaguar Voice Modem comes to Rich in order to implement it into the emulator, given that Ultra Vortek is the only officially released Jaguar title to support it.

Re: Best Neo Geo Pocket Color Games

KGRAMR

Good list of great games as always. Perhaps we'll see the same treatment for Atari consoles such as the Lynx and the Jaguar + Jaguar CD (especially since the BigPEmu Will receive support for the Jaguar CD)

Re: Ultimate Guide: Atari Jaguar - The Death Rattle Of A Pioneer

KGRAMR

This was a terrific article to read i would love to see more Atari Jaguar content on the site. I would especially love to see "making of" articles for these Jaguar games, as we know almost next to nothing about their development process:

  • Atari Karts
  • Attack of the Mutant Penguins
  • Bubsy in Fractures Furry Tales
  • Club Drive
  • FlipOut!
  • Hover Strike and the CD follow-up Unconquered Lands
  • Hyper Force
  • I-War
  • Iron Soldier
  • Kasumi Ninja
  • Missile Command 3D
  • Phase Zero (demo)
  • Power Drive Rally
  • Ruiner Pinball
  • Skyhammer
  • Space War 2000
  • Super Burnout
  • Supercross 3D
  • Trevor McFur un the Crescent Galaxy
  • Val d'Isère Skiing and Snowboarding
  • White Men Can't Jump

Sorry for the wall of text XD but i'm a Jaguar enthusiast
