@cawley1 Oh yeah, forgot about those. Were those proper 60 fps model 2 versions, though? If so, wish they could be made available for PS4/5, etc., too.
Great article. Enjoying reading it. I used to read mostly PCG and PCZ after I started gaming on the PC in the late 90s. Edge somehow missed my radar, and I discovered it sometime during the past decade.
It's a travesty that there weren't more NOLF sequels. The first game was simply perfect, I feel. The art and animation style, and the background score were so sixties and camp, and the hilarious dialogs were award-worthy. The only complaint I had were the stealth mechanics and the whole base being alerted with sirens blaring every time you got detected. But the shooting, the gadgets, and everything else good about it was just soo good.
The second game felt a bit more serious and a bit less humorous overall. But never did I imagine that that would be it for NOLF. So, so sad.
These Lightgun games would be wonderful in VR too — I don't mean the games being VR but played on a virtual CRT TV in a VR room, like in Sega Genesis & Mega Drive Classics.

Every time I see anything Daytona USA-related, I lament the fact that the original arcade versions have still not been ported to modern platforms.
