This came out of nowhere for me. I love Golden Axe. Not the PS3 game . I'm watching this regardless of the reviews. What a great surprise.

Um, if this is all true, and I have my suspicions as S3 has also lied about the Last Ninja Kickstarter. Then why not cancel the game and sue the developer? Why continue to sell it, and at such a high price. I suspect we will never hear from the developer because of NDAs or contracts. It all sounds dodgy, like System 3 can say what ever they want and we cannot hear from the other side. Anyway it's all getting a bit boring now, no one is going to buy this game, can we please have some positive retro news. 🙏

I only ever played the first game on the Master System. I remember it being hard as hell. This is tempting me to try it again.

How cares who the developer is. Systemm 3 is the publisher they would have reviewed and signed off on the game all they way through. This reeks of them trying to push the blame off onto the game team. Who wants to bet that all the developers get laid off at this company and System 3 continues to shove out rubbish.

@slider1983 I think people are under the impression that if they hate on AI enough that devs will stop using it. This is miss guided as the luddites of the industrial revolution learned. All that will happen is that devs will stop declaring it, or the 3rd party tools they use will be so riddled with AI that they will use it regardless.

If you want to stand up against AI don't try cancel it, that's just banging your head against a $6 trillion investment wall. Instead fight for legislation, security, safety, regulation, or fair use. AI companies used us to train their models, fine. Let's get legislation in that's says 30% - 50% of their profits go to government pension schemes. Witch hunts and pitch forks, are ineffective tools.

@dedant On paper what your saying makes sense, but as a Yank we know a thing or two about legal costs. A standard run of the mill lawyer who will resolve my border dispute with my neighbor will cost me $450 AN HOUR! Corporate lawyers are on a completely different level. So yes legally they can, but they don't as it costs too much.

And you are profiting of your ROMS as you've spent no money to obtained them. In the eyes of the law you are using stolen software licences, but no one cares because it's not worth the effort to take you to court, unless it's Nintendo of course.

Who cares? The train companies don't care. What are they going to sue for the few hundred Dollars he'll make? There are so many righteous retro gamers here, all against IP theft, while they sit on a mountain of ROMS. And this is hardly an AI story, another TE clickbait title.
