Re: Here's Why Controllers Have 'A, B, X & Y' Buttons, And Not 'A, B, C & D'

I love stories like this is. I like to know the why of things.

The GameCube controller did a great job of sorting a lot of this. A for Action and is central and bigger and coloured green for go. B for back in menus and is red for stop.

My favourite recent story like this is Shigeru Miyamoto playing around with Donkey Kong Bonanza in development and deciding that A should be jump because B needed to be smash down, Y needed to be smash and X needed to be smash up. Absolutely the right call, too.

Re: "We've Gone Retro" - New Arcade Bucks The Trend In An Otherwise Gloomy Sector

There is an arcade quite near me in Bridgwater England called Timewarp Arcade. They charge:
Ages 12 and Over = £11.50 Per Person;
Ages 4-11 = £8.00 Per Person.

This is for a wrist band day pass where you have unlimited entry for that day.

Pretty good idea but Bridgwater is quite a small town. Maybe the 50 minute pricing in this Southampton arcade is needed to get more people in and out in a day.
