Due to the World Cup, i am watching an inordinate amount of ads right now on TV. 99% of them feature AI and are from companies 6-7 orders of magnitude bigger than Commodore. So I think this war is lost.
Unfortunately SailfishOS has much higher system requirements than no OS at all (like the Aliexpress phone) or Symbian. I would have chosen whatever OS HMD uses for their nostalgia Nokias, added a Symbian emulator and marketed it as a kind of N-Gage evolution to link with the Commodore gaming aspect. This is much too expensive for a featurephone (even if it is a smartphone in disguise).
I hope they are officially releasing the FPGA Atari 800XL those Polish guys created (the RM 800XL). I haven't heard from them recently but with luck we can have another Atari-official, Plaion-distributed machine to punish our wallets.

@Andybuzz True, I did not remember what was the stopper. Retro Games indeed got the rights to the industrial design for the 800XL.
