Frogbull, the developer behind the unofficial tech demos of Metal Gear Solid, Crash Bandicoot and Final Fantasy VII on Saturn, has just revealed their next project: Panzer Dragoon on Dreamcast.
The developer has been decompiling the Saturn game over the past few months and is now ready to show off the next step in the process, which is bringing the game to Sega's final console.
The footage shown here is from a very early build – Version 0.1, in fact – but is already playable on real hardware.

The first Panzer Dragoon arrived on Saturn in 1995, and was followed by Panzer Dragoon II Zwei (1996) and Panzer Dragoon Saga (1998), with the latter game adopting a turn-based RPG approach. The series would return to its rail-shooter roots with Panzer Dragoon Orta (2002), which was an Xbox exclusive.
The first game was remastered for modern systems in 2020 by MegaPixel Studio. The second game is about to get the same treatment.
