Since launching Ridge Racer as part of Arcade Archives & Arcade Archives 2 last year, Hamster has been on a run of bringing Namco's System 22 games to modern platforms.

Some of these have been fairly well known (such as Rave Racer and Aqua Jet), while others have been a bit more niche (Armadillo Racing, for example), but the end result is all the same: giving people an official way to experience various arcade titles from the comfort of their own home, with some added bonuses and options for good measure.

With that in mind, this week's Arcade Archives & Arcade Archives 2 is very much an extension of that same idea, with Hamster announcing that it will soon be bringing Cyber Cycles to Switch, Switch 2, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on Thursday, August 20th, 2026.

Cyber Cycles (in case you've never heard of it) is a motorcycle-themed racing game that was released by Namco in the arcades back in 1995. At the time, it was available as a large 2-player, bike-style cabinet that could be linked together with another machine for four-player multiplayer, but will now be playable on consoles with a range of controllers. In total, the game features two circuits to play through (Green Hill and Neo Yokohama), with three bikes available from the word go (the Anthias, the NVR750R, and the Wild Hog).

Here's a short description of what to expect:

Set against the backdrop of near-future motorcycle racing, choose from a lineup of unique machines with different performance features, and cross the finish line ahead of all your rivals!

The price on Nintendo Switch and PS4 (the Arcade Archives version) is $14.99. According to the website, this version is limited to 1 player, but includes additional modes (such as Hi-Score and Caravan Mode), online leaderboards, and CRT filters.

The PS5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S version, meanwhile, costs $16.99 and includes a Time Attack mode, alongside the 4-player experience.

This isn't the only Arcade Archives news this week, either, with Hamster revealing it will bring its 2024 Arcade Archives rerelease of Nichibutus's Ninja Emaki to Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox for Windows (as part of Arcade Archives 2). This will cost $9.99 and also launches tomorrow.
