Strictly Limited and Atari have announced that Mr. Nutz and its "long lost" sequel are getting physical releases.
Designed by Philippe Dessoly and Pierre Adane for Ocean, the original game launched on SNES in 1993, with a Mega Drive / Genesis version following in 1994. It would also come to the Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance.
Mr. Nutz will be relaunched on both SNES and Mega Drive / Genesis. Mr. Nutz: Hoppin' Mad was released on the Amiga in 1994, and was intended to come to the Mega Drive / Genesis in 1995 as Mr. Nutz 2, but it never happened. Strictly Limited's forthcoming release marks the game's debut on Sega's console.
Both games are getting "premium physical releases" in both PAL and NTSC formats. They'll cost €49.99, and pre-orders open today.
Both are scheduled for release at the start of 2027.
