Hate to say it, but I see where the devs are coming from. Consider the Daytona games for example. Would enough people really show up for it to make financial sense to include everything that needs to be in a stand-alone release like that? Online play, servers, leaderboards, Q&A, passing certification, etc. etc. If Sega decided to just poop out a straight no-frills, unoptimized single-player only port of the arcade, it would only hurt their reputation with the exact same groups that are asking for a thing like that. The fact that they're Yakuza minigames is the only reason some of these games could ever see the light of day, no matter how much I personally would love to see golden axe: revenge of death adder come to console.
I didn't understand what the problem was just from the screenshots, but the video actually made my stomach churn the same way as accidentally coming across a video of someone dying. In a way, that's exactly what I witnessed. The death of Panzer Dragoon. I want to sue forever entertainment.
