The important thing is that he didn't kill Pen Pen TriIcelon, which I'm sure everyone ever will agree was easily the best Dreamcast launch title. Seriously, though, I absolutely love that game for some reason.
So... I just saw the trailer and it looks like they're mixing characters from several games, which makes it non-canon at worst, or a continuity nightmare at best. At least it actually looks like a strategy game. Seeing a character with 3000+ HP is weird, though. I don't know, I still want to hope for the best, but more than that I want to hope that it comes to Switch because I won't care otherwise.
Huh... a Shining Force game NOT made by Sega has the potential to be good. Not that the string of "Shining (Noun)" action RPGs they released after Shining Force III were all completely terrible... Shining Force Feather ALMOST felt like an actual Shining Force game. Of course, there's the whole "only on smartphones" thing that everyone else already complained about so that I don't have to, but I want to believe this new game won't be more of the same "Shining in name only".
Woah... I vaguely remember playing almost all of those games! Traysia is an interesting choice... besides some hilarious localization problems, it's overall a pretty mediocre RPG. However, the ridiculously catchy song that plays when you enter a shop will be forever embedded in my skull, and that alone makes this collection worth it.
Gyeearrgh, I want this so much... I haven't touched my Saturn in a few years and worry that it's not going to work if I ever get around to trying it out again. I also have a box of Genesis games that I'd love to be able to play again. My only regret is that I sold off all of my Sega CD games years ago... the only one I kept is Shining Force CD, and getting that chance to play that again makes this whole thing VERY tempting.
I did not know this because I hated GoldenEye. Or rather, I hated that my friends and I would get together and play it nearly every weekend back in high school, and being the only person in the room who didn't own it I got destroyed every time. It's okay, though, because then we'd switch over to Saturn Bomberman and I'd get my sweet revenge.
@Beatley82 But it wouldn't be all-in-one!!! My TV doesn't have any open HDMI ports left, and if I'm too lazy to change discs then I'm certainly too lazy to swap cables.
I still have a Sega Saturn (with something like 30 games, though I used to have many more), but I currently have no way of playing my Sega CD or Genesis games. Plus going all-digital has made me too lazy to ever change cartridges/discs in my older systems. Maaaan, this thing is tempting.
@AlphaElite Yeah... I wish I had the devotion to have a Genesis/Mega Drive (or equivalent) hooked up to my TV, but with like 30 other devices competing for my HDMI slots and my free time, I feel like I'm not the only person who's interested in this game but won't buy it.
Oh dip, this is kind of what I was hoping the Switch would turn out to be. I would love to be able to play the older games that I loved for the systems I loved without having to include a bunch of systems I don't especially care about.
I can't believe I never heard of this game before, either, especially considering how much money I put over the years into both domestic and import games for my Saturn. I mean Saturns (at one point I had three). Well, living in Japan and all... I might just have to start looking around for the original.

Re: Dreamcast Support Could Come To Polymega In The Future
The day they announce Dreamcast support officially is the day I officially regret selling off all of my Dreamcast games. Or rather, regret more.

Re: Book Review: Sega Mega Drive/Genesis: Collected Works
I think supporting this book was my the first Kickstarter project I ever supported. Out of the three. I can't wait until my copy shows up!

Re: Carved with Love - Introducing the Wooden Neo Geo MVS
That is beautiful. Suddenly I have a terrible urge to completely rip off this idea and make a wooden DS. Good thing I'm lazy, though.
