@cdog555 Well to be fair, it does come with 2 controllers instead of one like the Atari 2600+ and 7800+ so does justify a higher price. I would have preferred an Intellivision+ instead of this, but it is still good.
@lemonjellydude They still have the 5200 that could get the "+" treatment. Also they acquired the Intellivision rights last year (I believe) so it could be something along those lines...Intelivision+?
Hoping for an Atari 5200+ or Intellivision+ to be announced so I can give those cartridges some love. Really digging my 7800+ and the only new games I have bought this year were for that.
Sounds like Trip was spouting some revisionist history regarding the PowerPC - the chips were designed by a collaboration between Apple, IBM and Motorola (AIM) to replace the 680x0 chipsets and update IBMs own POWER line of servers. Apple was the driver for the creation to replace the aging 680x0 CPUs (and a major contributor to the design, along with IBM and their POWER series which it derived from), not 3DO as he claimed.
The chips were created for the Apple Power Macintosh line, not the 3DO M2 as claimed. Sure the M2 was likely to use it, bit was not the reason Apple, IBM and Motorola produced the chip line.
