Re: Hopes Of Neo Geo Hardware Revival Triggered By ESRB Rating

@Sketcz
It's nice to know they are good for the Vectrex, I'd never heard of that mod.
Though for Neo Geo games, which are of course very arcade, I find them to be totally inadequate. Also, it's annoying when you expect the micro switches of the original Neo Geo CD pads, and you are presented with the softness of the analogue sticks of the Mini. Someone might like them, but I am sure many won't, so I really hope they don't include those with the AES+.

I expect it to be a new mini console, with a similar selection of games to the Neo Geo Mini and, being Plaion, support for loading games from a USB stick. And with a better video output.
But I think it is very unlikely that it will support the original AES cartridges. Both because they are massive, bigger than most of the actual mini consoles, and very expensive.
I wonder what controllers they are going to include. Probably the Neo Geo CD pads, but I really hope not the ones of the Mini, which were terrible. It would be great if they were the 8bitdo ones, which are pretty good and faithful to the original. Or maybe a smaller version on the Neo Geo joystick.

@Razieluigi No, 4:3 screens are widely available. Not like 16:9 of course, but they are still mounted on many handhelds. Just check the Anbernic or Powkiddy pages to see many, even cheap, handhelds with that screen form factor.
I get the point that with a 16:9 screen the Mega95 is a little bit cheaper, but it might be that they prefer to offer a bigger screen which looks more impressive, even though it would squeeze the game vertically, which is an insult to any retrogamer.
And I fully agree with your comments about this handheld, I really can't think anyone who would enjoy this more than the average Chinese handheld.
