Evercade's upcoming Banjo-Kazooie Double-Pack cartridge not only contains both of Rare's infamously meaty N64 platformers, but also a fistful of features cut or modified from the games' original release. Spotted by Crazy Burger at the recent Evercade Nexus event, this includes a mode that never made it off the Banjo-Tooie cutting room floor.

Titled "Bottles' Revenge", the unreleased mode allows a second player to take control of some of Banjo-Tooie's enemies, outmanoeuvring, attacking, and generally being a nuisance to our platform-hopping heroes.

Bottles himself appears in a cartoonishly "devil" form and can essentially "possess" one of the map's troublemakers. Should the Bottles baddie successfully defeat the dynamic duo, the player roles are switched, with player 2 now taking control of Banjo-Kazooie, while player 1 becomes Devil Bottles.

Take a look in Crazy Burger's video below.

Bottles' Revenge was cut from the original release of Banjo-Tooie, which hit the N64 in 2000, due to debugging time constraints. Curiously, a similar bonus game would appear in Rare's other 2000 release, Perfect Dark, in the form of multiplayer mode Counter-Operative. While Bottles' Revenge has previously been adapted from the original ROM for N64 emulation, this Evercade edition will mark the mode's first officially playable debut.

In addition to Bottles' Revenge, the Evercade Banjo-Kazooie Double-Pack cartridge features an array of curiosities and enhancements for both titles, including a soundtrack player of unused music, overhauled menu systems, fast travel to Gruntilda's lair, a reworked aiming mode, and more.

Available to pre-order now from various outlets, Banjo-Kazooie Double-Pack launches October 30.
