@RZ-Atom I can certainly see myself doing this too, which is what's kept me from dropping the money on one of these premium handhelds so far. This particular device really speaks to me though, as the 3DS XL is still one of my absolute favorite devices that Nintendo has ever produced.
I currently only have the Miyoo Mini Plus, which I absolutely adore - Onion OS FTW! - and I'm grabbing it quite regularly. It's been my go to handheld for travel ever since I've gotten it, and my kids have a blast with it too.
I recently considered going ahead and making the premium purchase. I primarily want a more ergonomic handheld for regular use at home. After much research, I decided to go with the middle ground option instead, and grabbed the Anbernic Cube XX. Its chunky comfortable grips and square screen were the major selling points for me. The long shipping wait for it to arrive is hopefully nearing its end.
Damien, thank you so much mate for the unexpected nostalgia trip you've given me tonight by placing the Virtual Console Reviews link in this article!
It's been many years now since this once avid Nintendo Life fan was given a chance to write for the then brand new Movemodo sister site - the numerous articles I've written across some of these websites are still today one of the absolute pleasures that I've had in my lifetime!
Cheers for the great interview too! Me and my wife played Hay Day daily for well over a year...oh my goodness, that was life back before our four kiddos came along! I don't use my phone for games much these days - that's what retro handhelds are for - but I downloaded Squad Busters and will give it a try.
@Kwyjibo_Kitsune Agreed, and ideally you want a local backup and a off-site backup option. It's well worth investing the time and money into this and I recommend it highly to most anyone.
There's absolutely lessons to be learned here. I tell my teenage kids all the time that simple mistakes online can cost you big time, if your not consistently cautious.
I wish this guy the best of luck and hope things go in the right direction for him.
I've never been one that gets into speed running games, but I've always respected it. I've been watching some if Suigi's runs this week and the level of skill it takes to do what he and other speed runners of this game are doing is near mind-blowing to comprehend.
The controls are tricky enough in this game, but couple this with the archaic early 3D camera controls (compared to modern designs), and this is just on another level altogether.
I broke out my PS2 recently and realized that numerous games that I thought I kept, and put up are amiss after moving homes several years back. I'm now replacing PS2 games, and this is on my shortlist to get again.
This particular generation of gaming produced some epic games that still hold up incredibly well (or even better, at times) today. My kiddos are having a blast with them!

Re: Nintendo Locking A Screen Filter Behind A Console Upgrade Hasn't Gone Down Well With Everyone
I think there only being three preset mouse sensitivities in Metroid Prime 4 is a bit more complain worthy, personally. Haha
