My first exposure to Jeff's games was Llamatron for the Atari ST and I LOVED IT! I've been a fan of his games ever since. Tempest 2000/3000/4000 are the rare games where you can get "in the zone" and feel powerful while playing. Something modern games just don't offer.
I was already an Atari stalwart when I got the 1040STe. Aside from it being an Atari, I got it for Dungeon Master. Of which I still have both the computer and the set of floppies. I would buy the UK magazine ST Format and barely even knew the Amiga existed. Workbench? Seems so archaic loading your OS from a floppy when the ST had it loaded in ROM! Then later upgrading it to have 320 Meg SCSI drive with Geneva, MultiTOS, NeoDesk made the system really outstanding! The ST was a great computer and it will always be MY FIRST favorite 16-bit computer!
