Will this cover all the heated car chases that are conspicuously missing from all those other books, documentaries, and what have yous? That could be the big selling point for this thing.

In all seriousness, though, I wish the author all the best and hope he manages to sell a few books, but I'm really not sure what else there is to learn from the history of Tetris that hasn't already been told countless times before in some form or fashion.

@KingMike If I'm going to question any release, it's going to be the release of a somewhat lesser Famicom/NES port of an arcade title that has been an Arcade Archives release for years (Magmax got the AA treatment in 2020). Especially considering the console releases cost slightly more than the arcade ones.

Not much of a surprise in regards to Belmont's Curse and not necessarily a deal breaker, either.

I am a bit surprised that she's not doing Bloodstained, though. Wondering who's picking up the reigns on that one.

Apparently someone jumped the gun with that reveal, because I just went to the Greatest Heroines page and they changed it from "Sonia Belmont" to "Trevor Belmont's successor." Oops.

@Guru_Larry You're not talking about that GameBand thing, are you? The one where they raised almost half a million dollars for blank all and never bothered to refund anyone? That's the only thing that comes to mind.

Well, golly, I hope they support their hotel business better than they currently support their crowdfunded VCS computer thing.

@Slider2711 This version comes with a nice, bright yellow Pac-Man themed wireless joystick and two receivers for both 9-pin and USB inputs. It works fine, I guess.

@Lowdefal If people will buy a re-issue of Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, they'll buy a re-issue of anything.

It's a pity that they couldn't dust off the old Pac-Man Collection that Bob DeCrescenzo made a decade or so back and included that here. That cart is brilliant... but apparently not nostalgic enough.

Other than that, the console looks nice and I usually don't care for these colored consoles. But since I already have a 2600+, I'm wondering if the Double Feature cart will also be available separately.

The old Gamespot review of this thing is still absolutely tremendous.

If this plays Xevious (7800), then I'm sold.

*The 2600+ does not play Xevious (7800)... and that makes me sad.

People will outrage over anything these days... if it had been a vintage machine, I'd perhaps be more sympathetic and understanding since those are harder to come by... but Arcade1ups are still being made. One less in the world isn't going to harm any supposed game preservation movements or Arcade1up's profits.
