A surprising amount of people here to softly dunk on this project with their contrarian takes.
That projects like this still exist is a wonderful thing and it’s comforting to me that people will see a project like this to completion for a buried classic.
Gradius superplayers and YouTubers like The Electric Underground will absolutely have at it.
Remember reading a Games Master on the train to Leeds and finding out the GBA would be out in Japan a week before I flew over for the first time. I think I’d bought one within an hour of landing. The soft light above my hotel bed had optimum lighting for the unlit screen. F-Zero was an absolute gem too.
@ScalenePowers You’re genuinely comparing disappointed customers to people who oppose feminism and immigrants? There’s discourse in all comments sections because of factually sketchy business practices, huge waiting times and unreliable products. Not because of warped morals.
This isn’t pushing them at all, just giving them a chance to clear the air.
Their business model is basically a reskinned kickstarter, people wait years for their products. Putting out a physical release of hot meme garbage like Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties is all you need to see that these guys are absolute con artists.

Re: "The GBA Is So Back" - Gradius Advance Gets A Comprehensive Fan-Made Upgrade
@gmar Sorry, what?
I’d happily let my 5 year old have a short blast on it - he likes spaceships.
Nintendo’s ’ Games for everyone’ also includes your label ‘masochists’, it doesn’t mean every game is for every person.
I’m just failing to understand why such a positive thing made out of love for a single game and small audience is attracting such negativity.

Lovely stuff.

Such a wonderful team. Picking up their releases little by little whenever I can has been an absolute highlight of the switch generation for me.
I wish more like them existed but I’m so glad to have them.

What a system, underrated somehow.
