Numskull Games has announced that Bitmap Bureau's 'new-retro' title Battle Axe is coming to the PlayStation 5 this week in both digital and physical formats.
The exclusive PS5 special edition will comes with fancy packaging and a soundtrack CD by Manami Matsumae, famous for her work on Mega Man, Shovel Knight and countless other games spanning the past few decades. This physical edition will be priced at £39.99 / €49.99 / $44.95, and launches on Friday 18th November.
In addition to this, the game is being updated across all versions with the following quality-of-life improvements:
- New Casual Difficulty Mode (with unlimited continues.)
- New Strafing mechanic. Move whilst you use your ranged ability!
- Improved CRT shader.
- Other game re-balances.
