A New N64 EverDrive Flash Cart Has Been Released With A Dedicated 64DD Core

EverDrive maker Krikzz has revealed that he has created a new flash cart for the Nintendo 64 console.

The EverDrive-64 Pro is an upgrade on the existing EverDrive-64 X7, and benefits from a faster Cyclone 10 FPGA chipset, more memory, speedier USB data access and a dedicated 64DD core. The 64DD was a Japan-only bolt-on storage device for the console that played games on magnetic rewritable discs.

"I'd Rather Disappoint Some People" - Dev Behind Tool That "Ports" Game Boy Games To GBA Pivots To AI

Iván Delgado has given an update on his GB Bridge project and has anticipated that it won't go down well with a lot of people.

Speaking on social media, Delgado – whose tool is designed to "port" Game Boy games to the Game Boy Advance – explains that he has recently shifted to AI in order to speed things up.

Mega Drive, Saturn And Dreamcast Watches Are Coming To Japan

Japanese "collaborative fashion" company SuperGroupies has produced a trio of watches based on classic Sega hardware (thanks, Famitsu).

The line includes watches inspired by the Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast, with each model boasting a design that replicates elements of its respective console's controller. The packaging is also designed to mimic that of the original systems.

Bandai's Japan-Exclusive PS1 RPG 'London Spirit Detectives' Is Now Available In English

A new English fan translation has just dropped for the Japanese-exclusive PlayStation role-playing game, London Seirei Tantei-Dan, from Bandai.

Focusing on a slingshot-wielding orphan boy who is recruited off the street to become an assistant to a famous detective, London Seirei Tantei-Dan (or London Spirit Detectives as it has been translated here) is a game set in a 19th-century Victorian-era setting, which has sometimes been described in the past as "Sherlock Holmes meets Oliver Twist."

Evercade DOOM Collection + Evercade Nexus DOOM Edition Officially Announced

Following last week's leak, Evercade maker Blazer has now officially unveiled its upcoming slate of DOOM-related products.

As we referenced in our previous post, this includes a brand new Evercade cartridge featuring DOOM and DOOM II, as well as six official mission packs and a special collection of Deathmatch levels to play through. It is now available to pre-order on Funstock UK, Funstock Europe, and Funstock USA for £24.99/€29,99/$29.99, with shipping expected to start on October 30th, 2026, if you want to buy a copy. However, it isn't the only DOOM-related item to be announced.

That's because Blaze has also revealed a DOOM Edition of its Evercade Nexus handheld, which will be available to pre-order on August 7th, 2026 (that's tomorrow!) on Funstock sites, at 3 pm BST/10 AM EDT.

In other words, what if the 1989 title looked more like its sequel, Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins, released three years later, "when the devs had more experience with the Game Boy hardware."
