@The_Nintendo_Expat i never considered things like this (VF2 on mega drive) as ports even back in the day. People still confuse remasters and remakes nowadays and it's not right. But honestly it doesn't affect my life so i don't really care.
Although I do remember how so many games were completely different on different platforms and we always called them "Mega drive version" or "SNES version" or "PC version" but not ports
"before all this talk of remakes, demakes, remasters, etc etc. ✌️" demake is a new term yes. "Remakes" were definitely a thing back then though

@The_Nintendo_Expat no, porting is adapting existing code so it can work on a different hardware, but you keep the game mostly untouched

@Porco "and it was ported to the ps3 which would have been a very difficult task on its own" that's not a valid argument. When something gets ported it's called a port. But resolution change and texture update is a remaster

@The_Nintendo_Expat FF pixel remasters are not port or remasters. pure remakes made on the new engine with the new art and new game logic. It's even more confusing
