SEGA was their own worst enemy during this stretch. They probably shouldn't have released the 32X with the Saturn on the way. Shadow dropping the Saturn 6 months early we all know now was a big mistake. If SEGA had launched as planned, who knows what could have been. Maybe the Saturn and PlayStation launch at the same price point and compete head to head. Maybe I would have gotten the Saturn instead.

Interesting note about Golden Eye. Don't care to listen to the whole interview given it's Kotick though.

Nice fact checking there on the part of the producers / creators. Good grief. If I was them I'd put some text up during that part to clarify the truth. I've never once heard that he had anything to do with the PlayStation.

This is a real shame. I'm not as well versed in video game creators. But I know a lot about the creators of various super heroes. I always look for their names in the opening credits. It would feel wrong if they weren't there.

I really hope Sony or whoever is listening. Some gamers won't care, and while I never was able to play many WD localized games, I would love to try them out on PS5.

Hope for the best here but at least there are still ways to play the OG versions, either on PS1 or Sega CD.

Great choices. Played them both on my PS1 when they came out. Need to finish Blood Omen and replay Soul Reaver. It's too bad we never got more games after the PS2/XBX era.

Yep. Plumbers Don't Wear Ties was re-released. Jekyl and Hyde for NES will be next. Meanwhile, we are still waiting for Rondo of Blood for PCE CD-ROM. Maybe LRG is waiting for the Analog Duo which can be pre-ordered.

What year is this? 2023 and some people still view video games in a stereotypical light as if it's the early 2000s? Have they seen a Switch commercial before? There is no doubt video game addiction is real like other commenters have said, but you can play video games and be happy and healthy and not an addict.

I'm not interested in getting the Amico and I don't really have strong feelings either way. I want it to come out so we can see what happens once and for all. Right now it's all speculation as to how it will perform.

I have not seen anything that justifies the price point. Pass on the VCS.

IDK. It has an optical drive but it uses emulation in part or fully. Hope it comes out for the backers. I have seen a lot of Youtubers with units months ago.

Very nice interview. I remember reading a Gamefan in summer 1995 when trying to decide between the PlayStation and the Saturn, having stopped playing games for some time during my high school years.

How is the emulation and is that how games are playable on all systems? I don't think it's using an FPGA to run games native.
