You'd be forgiven for missing it amid all of the other E3 presentations, but Intellivision's Amico-focused video event was pretty interesting, because it gave us a look at what it shaping up to be a surprisingly Nintendo-like games console (something which should perhaps come as no surprise, given that a trio of ex-Nintendo executives are involved).
While the Amico certainly isn't going to challenge the likes of the PS5 and Xbox Series X (and industry veteran Tommy Tallarico, who hosts this video, is pretty honest about that), it's a console which seems to have a lot of Nintendo-like ideas.
Take the controllers, for example; not only do they house a touchscreen and offer Wii-style motion controls, they also allow you to carry access to your entire game collection around with you – so if you visit a friend's house you can dock your controller in their Amico base system and play all of your games, too.
Then there's the fact that the Amico's controllers have their own displays, which allows for asymmetric multiplayer, just like the Wii U – the difference here being that every player has their own screen, rather than it being limited to just one person. An example of how this could be used is shown in the video above, where the player in last place is given special hints on their controller's screen to help even the odds. You can even link smartphones to the console and get more than two people involved, if you so wish – as Tallarico points out, the focus of the Amico is local multiplayer, and recreating the thrill of getting a roomful of people involved, rather than playing with some stranger thousands of miles away.
Another neat touch is the inclusion of RFID, which means you be given a gift card with store credit on it and unlock that credit simply by tapping it on the console – much easier than having to type in a code off the back of a scratch card. The system also offers an LED light show (something we're worried could become annoying after a while) and will support both digital and physical game releases. There's even an achievement system built into the Amico which will result in physical rewards, such as an official certificate if you get the highest score on a particular game in a certain month.
While the Amico is looking more and more promising the more we see of it, the stumbling block appears to be software. The games – which are admittedly cheap, costing no more than $10 for digital titles and $20 for physical – look rather basic when compared to what's available on Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft's platforms, comparing more favourably to free-to-play smartphone games. Quality software is always going to be required to shift hardware in high volume, and Amico's apparent lack of AAA content has been an issue for a while. Still, it's getting Earthworm Jim, as well as a new title from the team behind Ecco the Dolphin, so it could find a niche – although it would seem that the involvement of Doug TenNapel in the former title isn't helping the Amico attract developer talent.
After a year-long delay, the Amico will finally launch on October 10th this year, with a starting price of $250. Will you be giving it a chance? Let us know in the comments below.

Looks promising but i want to see more 1st party from Intellvision.
I think this is a perfect machine for peoples who have no interest with AAA games.
This is the first I’ve heard of it. With the right content and marketing, this could be a “modern retro gamer’s” dream. Here’s hoping
I’ve been watching this one closely. I do have a founders’ edition preordered.
Despite the game transfer, it's still an apparent home console, so not really an option for me. But I appreciate all the stuff they're pulling off here... well, at least with the possible exception of control schemes - in the video, it seems like people holding the controller sideways are using the touchscreen in place of some "face button" actions, which is an experience I'm rarely sold on, especially in action genres that incidentally make up a lot of Intellivision catalogue. Well, best of luck to them anyway.
600 years of experience making games...
Wow, I wonder what kinda video games people were playing in 1452.
I've been following this from the get go and I'm really invested in it. Personally, I think if its marketed right, it'll do better than what people think.
Also........new Earthworm Jim. Need I say more? 🤷♂️
No failure from the get go!
It'll be interesting to see if systems like this and the Atari VCS can really make any kind of dent in the industry or if this is just another Ouya type situation where these systems will just sit on store shelves and collect dust cause no one is interested or even know they exist.
If 9th gen hardware continues to be a struggle to get your hands on through the end of the year, they might pick up some residual sales there but I think the biggest thing both of these systems need is a better line up of compelling software and that's been the biggest hurdle for both so far.
Doesn't this console have a rule of only allowing E and E10+ games? Because that's as "retro Nintendo" as you can get.
In my eyes, Amigo is really nothing more than a Wii, if the entire library was Wii shovelware and nothing else.
What the heck besides Nintendo this is the best e3 presentation? Mean I thought intellivision was dead until today lol. All the other e3s were just uninteresting and while I am not even close to being a target audience this is actually genuinely a cool console to me! Not meant to give you phenomenal games that you've never played but some great multiplayer games for when a few friends come over. I mean I'd just play smash or Mario golf or Mario kart or something but still I can see the appeal. And the whole ecco the dolphin sequel, new earthworm Jim, and remastered nintellivision and Atari games which I had when I was little is just awesome. I mean I think this console is gonna flop. Hard. But I don't want it to. It really has promise as a simple experience for friends and family and while the switch is that for me I'd understand others picking this.
It's definitely interesting, but that $250 price tag is awfully high considering what's on offer here. I feel like this is the kind of thing you buy for the novelty of it, but that wears off fast.
I think it may find an audience is they market it a lot and hammer the family aspect of it. I may get one once I see more games that make it worthwhile. As it stands I only see about 3 or 4 games that are truly holding potential.
$250 is way too much for this thing. And sorry, the people who will be appealed by the brand of "Intellivision" are now in their mid to late 50s-60s. Likely their kids have grown up and are having their own kids who will want a Switch, PS5 or Xbox over this thing. Finnegan Fox and Earthworm Jim are not even in the same universe as Mario, Zelda, Spiderman or Halo in being system sellers. It might benefit a little from the chip shortage causing supply issues for modern consoles, but I doubt this thing will even do Wii U numbers.
Not feeling it.
The original Intellivision was my experience playing video games, so I have a soft spot in my heart for that name. It looks like a fun pickup and play party system for local play. That also intrigues me. However, the price is very steep in my opinion. I like the retro wood grain edition.
I really respect how much quality seems to have gone into this. But trying to launch a console in 2021, even a weird little retro console, really need some serious marketing muscle. I don't know how they plan to achieve that. Even Google pulled the plug on their non-hardware platform attempt. Sure it was AAA, but it's just not easy to do, even for the deepest pockets.
Plus it drips of WiiU design language. That' can't be a positive.
Too expensive for a mobile gaming on TV system. The games look really bad too. All the pluses he tries to point out are not exclusive to the Amico. Also this thing was supposed to come out last October and you still have no full software too show? All 5 second clips. There is a reason most people bashed the E3 presentation.
I don't know what their expectations are for sales, but it's hard to see where the niche is for this device. Maybe it can be a success moving a few hundred thousand boxes but the price difference isn't so drastic that I see families buying one rather than a Switch. It needs to be $150, tops.
And the other thing is will it get talented Indies to make these local mp games? Will it just be a few ports of Towerfall, Overcooked, etc.?
The presentation of these games won't attract gamers. I'm not sure casual players will even bother with this system. Unfortunately, this system will ultimately fail.
I kinda want this to do well, here's hoping
On top of all the other issues mentioned it is interesting timing to announce a console big on physical contact and sharing of controllers during a pandemic.
Whilst it doesn't interest me personally I respect the passion and hard work they have done.
It's going to struggle hard.
I expect many of those to get a Switch port later down the road as well.
Simply because you got brand awareness, tech benchmarks and an obscure hook all working in tandem against it.
I will be buying one, namely cause Earthworm Jim, but I don't expect much to launch this console.
Doesn't look horrible as far as the concept goes. I can see the appeal for a particular audience. Personally I am very much interested in new and single-player focused content. This seems very much "couch-coop" focused with a heavy retro vibe.
I don't mind retro content from time to time, but that base is already as covered as it can be, so .... "couch-coop" is nice, but even there I already got a ton of games, I rarely use never mind finish.
Guess it will be decent success, if they market it properly at their core audience and keep them happy with new quality content going forward. It's not going to be easy battle, esp. with much of what they are doing here is actually pretty easily aped by other consoles or even smartphones once a huge demand becomes apparent.
@Slowdive It's cool if you're looking forward to it but the mismanagement and multiple falsehoods that have already occurred with this product are not good. It's shaken even some hardcore supporters' faith. For those that want one I hope it comes out and does well enough to satisfy them.
I have been keeping my eye on this and I see it closest comparison being the Wii. Unfortunately the $250 / £250 price tag is just too high and they will have to slash that to at least £200 to really get the attention it needs to succeed.
I have just got into the Evercade ecosystem and the VS console they just announced is much cheaper and appeals to the same sort of people who are looking for more retro feeling games.
Also, lol that their reel of long time developers who are partners does not include a single woman 🤦
Cool idea but even though they say they have no competitors Nintendo already rules the casual market and has the bonus of non-casual games sadly I don't think his system would last long☹️
I have a story about this. I respect and met Tommy twice. I preordered Amico day 1 as I used to play Dracula, Besuty & thr Beast, Heman and Tron on it. HOWEVER, with the console being only $50 less than a Switch, and Switch having over 90 free games, plus an infinite amazing library with exclusive 10/10 games and Dracula and Tron being short games and only coming 2 years after the console releases, there was zero point. I canceled my preorder and bought a Switch. As much as I want to support Tommy, the games are all too short with no endings and thr cost of the games, you can get better games for that on the Switch...I mean look at their current Sale.
I'm very intrigued by this. Might be a fun little console to have for local multiplayer a family get-togethers. Hopefully it'll have a steady stream of games for it. I wouldn't even mind some mobile ports to supplement the library. I rarely play games on phone, Mario Run is the only one in the past several years.
@kingbk
They aren't you cheeky sod, I'm 44!
The Inty was my first console, so yes, I'll be getting this. I don't think it'll ever be more than a niche machine, but what can I say, the nostalgia goggles are firmly strapped in place for this particular purchase.
In fairness, Astrosmash, Cloudy Mountain, Night Stalker and Breakout all look pretty cool. It's got the New Earthworm Jim of that's your bag, and there was a Data East logo on the presentation, so we'll hopefully see new versions of their arcade stuff. Still, it's looking pretty expensive next to the Evercade VS Founder's I've pre-ordered at £160.00, which also comes with more games on its six carts than have even been announced for Amico!
So it's a console for clueless senior citizens and has those horrible pre-rendered 3D graphics from 1997? 😬
I wanted to like this but most of those games look worse than mobile, and not in a good retro way.
Chucking in a couple remakes of Genesis games doesn't really help.
@ManaOwls GTA V and Skyrim I think.
I would love this if the games looked better or the price was $100. Which they could probably lower it to$200 or $150 of they got rid of those leds on the console, the rfid which is a cool idea but I'd prefer to save the money and maybe cut costs a few more places.
I don't buy a console for its features or its looks or gimmicks, I buy a console for its games.
And by this evidence, this is a Console I won't be buying
This looks dead on arrival, but good luck to it.
Just watched the video, and the groovy part was just wrong on so many levels.
I have been following this thing for a while. EWJ: SE for the Sega CD is my favorite game of all time so the fact that most of the original EWJ team is coming together on a new title is huge for me. I really like the focus on local multiplayer and that people can use their phones as controllers in a pinch. This thing could become a big hit with my kids and their cousins just because the multiplayer aspect is so pick-up-and-play. That being said, a $150 USD to $199 USD price point would have been the sweet spot. I don't know if families will spend $250 for a device like this.
I watched the presentation and thought it was ace. It's just so no nonsense fun. I reckon it's going to be successful (I just hope folk are down to Earth enough to realise that doesn't mean challenging the big three lol.)
I wish this were cheaper and/or had better-looking games. Their priorities are good ones. Sure, I'm a little thrifty and I've never tried to make a company like this successful, but I represent most people who'd want something like this, I think. They need to be more competitive.
If they offered the system for $100-150 and the games for $5-15 (not all of those games are worth $15, imo), I think it could be a smash hit. I'd also love to hear from real players about how fun the couch co-op is because this presentation, while good, is not convincing enough in that — the most important hook for an E3 audience interested in this product. It does look fairly fun, but not on the level of Mario Kart/Party, Smash Bros, Tony Hawk, etc. $400 for the system and 10 extra games is a tough sell when I can pay the same for a Switch with BOTW, Smash, and Fortnite and Rocket League thrown in.
And I know they said they're not trying to be competitive, but the fact is that few people are going to buy this when they already have solid multiplayer experiences available to them on their current consoles, especially at their current prices. They need to be better in some area, and I'm not convinced that they are. As it is, this looks like it's ONLY for people who literally only want solid couch co-op, don't already have a console they like, and don't care if they have any outstanding games, and I don't think there's a market for that.
I really want to want this more.
I didn't see this during E3 at all. No offence, but I'm not sure if this is a joke or not...
This looks like its from the bargain bin before it even has a chance to make it to the bargain bin. I give it a 6 month lifespan.
Regardless if you don't like the idea of it or the price of it etc.. How can you not at least RESPECT the fact they are VERY clear about their message and the functions of the console and what they hope to provide entertainment for people. How can they not be excited, these are some longtime industry pro's working on this new console and I really hope it does well.
I have a one on order for myself, it is going to be my casual gaming/party game machine for the living room Can't wait!
I'm not giving this much hope. I'm not giving the Atari Box much hope either, and I'm hoping to pick up the Atari Box just for my retro touch (as I've grown up with Atari). This does look like it would be fun, but in all honesty, it looks like one big party game that they were showing off, that could easily be a good game for the Switch. I agree with him though, that it's more fun to play a party game next to someone...that's what I always remember from my youth...but in this day and age, it's going to be hard to sell a new console at a fairly-high price, and then try to sell other games for it too. Would be worth it when the price goes down, but unfortunately, when the price goes down, it becomes hard to find games and others for it then...(hint on when I bought my Dreamcast finally...a few months later, found out it was going out and quickly raced to try to find games and accessories for it, which became frustrating). To each their own though, and I hope that the ones who purchase this, enjoy it! I'm hoping, when I purchase it, I enjoy the Atari Box...but, time will tell the most!!!! Hope for the best Intellivision!!!
I wonder what Pat and Ian think?
Earthworm Jim is supposed to launch with (or near) the console in October. How much of that gameplay did we see? That's as close to a "killer app" as it will have and it's clearly not close. Many of the rest of the games on offer are ports of mobile games or remakes of simple classics. None of this adds up to a $250 console, in my opinion. Also I am not sure I understand how "simple gameplay" and an alleged 60+ point controller go together. Not to mention the lag concerns that have been raised elsewhere. I hope they pull it off; more choice is better. But this looks DOA to me.
This thing is going to be more than a year late, the showcase game is Cornhole, and you guys think it’s a neat idea but the price is a little high? I don’t understand why NL is so bullish on this and Polymega.
Why do some people on this board (and across the Internet in general) get so offended and defensive if people point out the flaws of this console? Same with the Evercade. Sorry, these are niche products that appeal to a very small audience. It's ok for people to say it's overpriced or that it doesn't have great software or it's going to struggle against Switch/PS5/Xbox and here is why. Doesn't mean they WANT that to happen. Hell, Google, the 9th largest company in the world, is basically pulling the plug on Stadia. Amazon, which is bigger than Google, is struggling at figure out how to get into video games. Netflix people are already writing it DOA for video games. Video games is a very, very hard industry to break into and succeed.
well better to spend few bucks more and get a XBOX Series S!
This thing has even less chances than the Zeebo to become succesful...
Looks promising 🙂
Good luck to them
While I like the premise, the only thing that will make me buy this is if they manage to include the original BEEEEEE SEVENTEEEEEN BAWMER
No thanks, I’m so over waggle & touch screen controls in games, the industry moved on, this thing is already dead in the water.
This is cool but I don't see it being very succesful. The controllers lack physical buttons so I don't see this being a good option for games that require precision. But I'm mostly worried on the support from developers. I hope it doesn't end up like Ouya.
It has some cool ideas but I don't think there will be a high enough demand for this to be a success we'll most likely see a big price decrease & have a bunch of them just sitting on shelves like the playstation classic
it's a console with smartphone game slike Ouya and we know how that faired up.
And when your biggest attraction is Earthworm jim..a game that hasn't been popular in what, 30 years?...yeah that sounds DOA
I really wish there's a new console from a new company that takes it seriously, not with the hardware but with the software. This one it isn't.
I would be shocked if this thing outsold the Virtual Boy 😂
if it cost half or less of the current planned price i could see it doing well , but considering it is more expensive than a switch lite i don't think it will sell at that price
It looks like they are trying to stick all the gimmicky game hardware concepts of the past 15 years into one piece of plastic. That tells me that whatever niche group of buyers they get up front will probably not be playing this thing for long after the newness is gone, and it’ll be thrown in the closet and forgotten
If they had come in with a 50 dollar price tag, I'd be bullish on their chances. At 250 (when the switch is teeming with family friendly and arcade titles)... not a chance. Ouya 2.0
@Masterchicken https://twitter.com/PatTheNESpunk/status/1404527059750191104
It was unplayable at E3. Just another vague, hype video. This thing is in trouble, looks ugly, and is no way shipping this year.
Worst case they can just make Earthworm Jim 4 multi-platform and recoup the losses, I think it will find a niche market. Legitimately if they have like four or five exclusives that are more than half decent they will get people to buy it.
Those of you slamming this system and games did not grow up with the Atari 2600 or the original Intellivision. You just don't get it.
This has written FAILURE all over it
If it's "Nintendo-like" why not just get a Nintendo then? I guess Nintendolife felt the need to pump up another retro console now that the Polymega is most definitely not coming out.
At $250 it's hitting Switch Lite territory and offer nothing even remotely close to what the Switch Lite has to offer. The games looks too much like mobile garbage and it's charging money for common games like Pong, Sesame Street, Pool, Chess, Care Bears, etc., which you can play for free on your computer or phone.
Why the need to bring in a Twitter flame war? Yes, Tennapel has opinions, and I don't agree with all of them. Kind of like just about anyone else across various entertainment industries. It's kind of ridiculous how Twitter ***** a brick every time his name comes up.
@TheFox Twitter and social media in general is ridiculous. All this cancelling this, cancelling that, getting mad and angry about EVERYTHING. It's just too much after a while.
If this thing is for you, more power to you. I will never prefer to play games using an iPod as a controller.
This made me sad to watch. There isn't anybody in this man's circle of friends and family who could tell him to stop before it got this far? This crap doesn't look fit for free mobile phone software.
I’m still on the fence with this, if I did buy it it would be my first home console in quite sometime.
Removed - inappropriate
The Games i saw were awful and you can play most of them on you Smartphone or Browser.
I am not seeing any Value in that Machine.
this looks pretty promising for a fun casual time, multiplayer touchscreen controls seem like fun on the tv. but i also dont think im in the audience for this, not being able to do much local multiplayer in general
I wish them lots of good luck. Intellivision is a bit before my time, but I watched the presentation and they seem passionate about it. Plus there are many new games and modernized versions of old arcade games. I hope it does decently, especially since they understand that they're just trying to do their thing and not compete with the big companies for space. Just because something is little doesn't automatically mean it's doomed to failure.
WOW - those videos look pretty bad from a control and frame-rate stand-point. The visuals seem way under-developed as well.
...which is too bad, b/c there is a lot of fun ideas in what they're doing!
As I am probably the target audience for this: my first gaming was on the Intellivision and Intellivision 2, I have multiple local game-ready family members (re: kids), and can afford the console ... but as interested as I am in the Amico I worry that it doesn't present much value. Yet. It has interesting ideas, but will rise or fall based upon the games and experiences that come to it. Right now, I don't see a killer app. And if I did, I'd still have to justify the $250 for that app. And that is a tough get when there are so many competing consoles out there that are much more cost effective for their time.
waitin for Playdate
That console is a scam. I challenged the creator of that crap with some questions live and he got super defensive lmao
I'm not interested in getting the Amico and I don't really have strong feelings either way. I want it to come out so we can see what happens once and for all. Right now it's all speculation as to how it will perform.
This guy is giving me major Butch Hartman vibes
The cynicism of the people commenting here is really depressing. The presentation had casual gaming written all over it on top of the gaming nostalgia. Here’s rooting for their success, even though secretly as a kid I couldn’t stand Intellivision. 🙂
About the comment three former Nintendo execs...
You might follow up with them. I do believe all three have left Intellivision Entertainment.
This thing looks awful. The games look like crap, the controller barely works (based on the video footage that we've seen), the E3 presentation was abysmal, Tommy is incredibly shady and the price point is absurd. I'm surprised that there are people here that are interested in this junk. There's tons of games like this on the eshop. I guarantee that all you supporters bemoan the fact that Nintendo allows show much shovelware garbage on their console. How are the likes of Astrosmash and Care Bares any different than the junk on the eshop? If you guys want to play something like Shark Shark, google "free shark games". I'm sure you'll have just as much fun and the best part is that it's all free.
Sorry for the rant, I've been following this console since last year. Tommy Tallarico is a scam artist, simple as that. I hope he doesn't try and release this in October, it may as well be a glorified prototype.
I guess it's kind of interesting, but I don't really see the catch here. It seems like they're just trying to sell it based on name recognition, but in my opinion video games didn't really get good until the 8-bit generation with the NES and Master System. The Play Date is the only upcoming console, besides the Nintendos that really interests me, most of this other stuff I feel like has already been done on previous consoles, and better.
Why buy an Intellivision Amico when you can buy a Nintendo Switch? The Switch has all the games that the Amico has, plus Mario, Zelda, etc.
The Amico is the most nonsensical thing I've seen in a while.
I feel like your endorsement would be more helpful to the Amico if you hadn't gone so far into the weeds advocating for the Polymega- to the point where it seemed there was a conflict of interest there. By the way, any Polymega updates after they lost their business license and still haven't released anything? It makes it hard to take your system endorsements at face value, to be honest.
Been following this system through Pat the Nes Punk for awhile ( and I am aware of how much hate he and Ian get from the Amico community, and do warrent that some of the points like them not trying out the console after so many invites are valid).
That said personally I don't think it will succeed. Was originally looking forward to it as a niche console, but as described it is advertised as not competing against the major consoles, but it's price point says otherwise, and the quality of games look like what you can get from a phones mobile store.
If you aren't afraid of criticism I would suggest seeing Pat's video covering the E3 segment with an open mind. To all those looking forward I hope you feel you get your moneys worth.
@Noid yeah that was their main sales pitch at the beginning to be a family friendly console that parents could leave their children alone without worry.
@NEStalgia i only listened to one of the podcasts Tommy appeared on ( it's famous because a lady breaks out crying saying she can finally play games with her mother again, as if she couldn't already). Throughout the podcast Tommy highly shows that he is still stuck in the marketing age of the Wii, so to give off WiiU vibes with the console is not surprising lol.
@GamerGrandpa the Evil Kinebal and care bears kart racing are mobile ports lol.
Controller with no buttons.... Or just a round dial & a tiny screen? Hard pass.
I wish this platform every success but the real estate under my television is already full.
I like the look of it but I am not paying £250 for one. If I see one half price in a year I might be tempted.
If I was making a retro system I would definitely have a zelda copy, a metroid copy, a fire emblem copy etc and market it that way. Create teams of devs who can make shovel knight quality retro games.
R.I.P. Earthworm Jim.
http://www.videogameobsession.com/videogame/zz-other/origins/ani-Earthworm_Jim-Jim_shoot_gun_left.gif
They're entire sales pitch is a FAMILY FRIENDLY game system. Tommy was claiming that Nintendo has games with, and I quote... "Child rape". Which is course is untrue. Does he really believe Nintendo would allow this to happen on their system?! He's betting the entire Amico success on the hopes that parents won't be able to enable the very simple, and effective, PARENTAL SETTINGS, on the Switch, and other consoles.
@zenarcher I saw a video that compiled all those comments from Tommy about switch being unsafe for kids and advocating rape, and calling others video game racists or something. Comes off as a complete nutjob. I already though he seemed narcissistic and off but that video really cemented it.
I really don't see this even being a modest success. I prefer my Ouya. At least it worked well for its time as an emulation box. Many of the things this lists about positives of its game library aren't an example of careful curation but just imposing restrictions on developers and making them not want to bother. No dlc? I know micro transactions suck but there's been some great content like from Nintendo that's been released as dlc. That means no quality free to play games like Paladins too. Requiring every game to be E is also restrictive. Capping the price at $10?!
Are they serious?! What dev that puts a lot of time and effort into their games will want that? Looking at the games like cornhole it's obvious they aren't enforcing quality but just restrictive rules.
Motion controls and color touchscreen are nice but no traditional dpad, analog stick or even buttons besides the ones on the sides seems to be trying to fix what isn't broken. There seems to be input lag too. Really the only reason a dev would want to develop for this is that it's easier to be seen on a small console.
For me some of the retro remakes and other games sound promising but not nearly enough to buy one. Earthworm Jim 4 will likely come to other consoles eventually anyway.
@CommanderTaco Tommy calls them haters but they always have very specific criticism that brings up good points. I feel like Pat is great at calling out BS. Remember the coleco chameleon? Not to say this is a scam just not everything Tommy is saying it will be.
Also requiring every game be no more than $10 will get you phone quality games and encourage shovelware. Hell there's mobile games that cost more.
@bluesdance playdate had a much more compelling e3 video. Yeah it's not for everyone with the price but the season of games from established indie devs, crank, e ink style screen, and easy dev tools makes it a unique device. It seems like it will at least establish a niche audience.
@kingbkid Mid 50s-60? I was six years old when my dad brought home the first Intellivision in '79. I'm 48. There are younger Gen Xers who played Intellivision in the early to mid 80s.
In today's case of aged like milk...
