I don’t understand your stance on the Jaguar version of Rayman. From a technical perspective. I actually consider it to be the strongest version. Although the music loop is short and, as the earliest build, it lacks a few minor assets, its gameplay responsiveness is significantly superior. The input latency is lower, and the character’s movement and animation cycles react more immediately than on the Sony and Sega releases.
Visually, the Jaguar output appears sharper, the pixel resolution is clean, the dithering is more controlled, and the overall image stability is better than what the PSX and Saturn produce through their respective video pipelines. Had a CD‑based Jaguar edition been released, it would almost certainly have featured a full‑quality Red Book or streamed soundtrack comparable to the PSX and Saturn versions.
