Cool story. Splatoon's been one of my favorite games since 2017 after a friend kept insisting that I try it.

Regarding the 2DS & it's lower price point, I think Nintendo's been shooting themselves in the foot with the expensive joycons.
They could totally make a less expensive joycon option for kids/families if they leave out the NFC reader, use a less expensive rumble, remove the infrared camera or mouse control.

Possibly the first time I bought a game. That yellow smb3 box at the store was magical.

@SepticLemon You make it sound like 90's gameboy parts are designed to be replaced, and are not difficult to source. I have no idea. I have no soldering/modding/electronics repair skills.

@SepticLemon Thanks for that. I thought I scraped out the dried gunk well enough, but I'll give it another look with that info. I hadn't considered alcohol.

My gameboy stopped working because a AA battery leaked inside. My fault for leaving batteries in it for 5-10 years. I discovered that somewhere around 2012-2014

Atari has delusions of grandeur. First it was their recent mini console(never happened, last I knew), now ... hotels? XD what? What are they on?

Forgive me, as far as I've seen, they haven't been relevant in decades. Right? Have I missed something?
