@Santar I don't agree. I think the effort put into the mod, plus the change in presentation of the game it provided added something to the experience. I admit that the 3D models are pretty basic, especially by modern (or even its own time) comparisons. But, I still thought it looked decent. As someone who's been a Duke 3D fan since the O.G. release; it was something that added a new flavour to the game. I'd just be happy if they re-released the original addons for modern versions of Duke 3D, if I'm honest... 2D sprites and all.
There was a mod I found more than a decad3 ago which was far more ambitious than this, in which al, of the 2D sprites were replaced with polygonal 3D models. I don't recall the title of the mod though, and I haven't looked into it in a long time. I always wished that the developers of the various re-releases of the game would consider including it as an option. Maybe soon... if history is anything to go by, the rights holder for Duke Nukem 3D will want to resell us the game again soon... and in the process try and delete the current options from reality.
