Re: Talking Point: "We, The Consumers, Need To Vote With Our Wallets" - The Moral Dilemma Of Supporting SNK In 2026

@Thad Thanks for clearing that up! Well I'm no expert and I never claimed to know which countries governments specifically do or do not engage in those kinds of activities. But after a brief amount of googling and asking chatgpt. Apparently almost all countries / governments have engaged in the activities you listed in regards to what happened to Kashogoggi. The USA was actually ranked highest for these kinds of activities. So if the people of said countries are happy to elect and live under governments that commit these acts then I guess there is somewhat of a societal norm / expectation / silent endorsement that people of power and status do this kind of thing?? I actually went down abit of a rabbit hole and was reading all the messed up stuff the CIA have done in conjunction with corporate America, so if I subscribed to the principle that I mockingly joked about in my original response id be rendered unable to purchase anything with links to an American company as they all pay taxes that go to the American government, that then fund the CIA to do their grotesque activities around the world.

So in summary. I just get on with my life living in my little village, I enjoy my hobbies and not worry about things too much.

One more thing If you are worried about buying games made by big corporations with links to unsavoury individuals, may I suggest my game Super Puzzle Blasters on steam. I promise I have never nor do I have plans to, kidnap, torture or murder anyone. Thanks 😊

@Crecca I think you missed the point of my comment. Those systems although Japanese in origin were localised for your region and your market was the biggest market in the world built around you. That's not a bad thing, why would you care about what's happening in Europe? A good example is the recent trend of north Americans discovering SCART connections and modding old TVs. I wouldnt say these individuals are "mouth breathers"? Also my American friends are always surprised by my random bits of trivia "Starfox isn't Starfox in Europe it was starwing and then lylat wars"

Im originally from the UK and now live in North America. I can tell you 100% the Americans neither know or care about anything that is not America. We consume American pop culture via Hollywood so most Europeans know stuff like Americans call the mega drive the genesis or that Europe runs PAL 50hz and the US runs NTSC 60hz. That the real super Nintendo has four different coloured buttons not four Parma violets stuck to a controller. The average american knows none of this trivia and nor do they care......
