Re: Review: Taito Arcade 3 (Evercade) - Puzzle Bobble And Cadash Lead The Charge

Puzzle Bobble is my favourite game on the Taito Alpha. Ridiculously addictive in both single-player and multiplayer.

Football Champ is just hilarious (tackling the ref, hitting the photographers with the ball, super shots where the goalie flies through the goal), and I really wish it had been included on the Alpha — more enjoyable than the more generic Super Sidekicks on NeoGeo Arcade 3 IMO.

Cadash is definitely pretty cool as well. Plenty of fun to be had on this cartridge if you don't own either the Taito Alpha or the Taito Super Pocket already.

Re: The Best Mistake Nintendo Ever Made? Why 2DS Is The Perfect Embodiment Of Gunpei Yokoi's Core Principles

I was a PSP person back in the DS days (got one at launch), and never really gave Nintendo's system a chance until 2019 when I happened upon a very cheap 2DS on Facebook Marketplace.

it quickly became one of my favourite handhelds of all time, and I haven't looked back since. I do also now have a New Nintendo 3DS, and I think overall it's definitely better, but there's something about the slab 2DS that I just fell in love with.

I'll always have a massive appreciation for the wedge model.

Re: The "Hot Coffee" That Never Was - Did Rockstar's Co-Founders Put A Lewd Secret In This PS1 Football Game?

Well I never! 😅

Side note: I used to play this game all the time back in the day. Not what most people would consider a "good" football game, but it tried some ambitious things — the shooting mechanic is a target that moves around the goal and is really difficult to control. You end up getting a lot of 0-0 scorelines as a result, but it's really satisfying when you actually score.
