Re: Review: G'AIM'E - Coin-Op Time Crisis Comes Home With This AI-Powered Light Gun

DKeld

These are quotes taken from the G'aim'e Kickstarter campaign page:

"The AI Gun automatically detects and adjusts to your TVs, ensuring smooth, accurate gameplay from various angles and distances. It supports a wide range of TV sizes, allows for tilted shots, and is designed for a natural, hassle-free experience; so that you can focus on the game, not the setup."

"Our gun controller automatically detects and adjusts to any monitors from 15” to over 150” "

"We’ve put G’AIM’E through extensive testing in various room setups, with different lighting conditions and objects near the TV that could potentially interfere with tracking. It has performed consistently well, even in environments that might typically cause issues."

"G’AIM’E is different. There are no complex setups, no workarounds. Simply plug and play for a seamless experience, enjoy classic Lightgun games the way they were meant to be played."

"Can I use this in lighted rooms or daylight?
The answer is simple, BOTH! We have spent months testing and developing our G‘AIM’E Gun can provide accurate gameplay in lighted rooms, daylight and dark rooms!"

If you compare these statements with the actual user experience of setting up the system and also read some of Tassei's responses in the comments section on Kickstarter a major disconnect becomes apparent.
