Tassei Denki has shown off new prototypes of its G'AIM'E Light Gun system at this year's Tokyo Game Show, dubbed 'Pro' and 'Lite'.

The Pro appears to use the same basic design as the existing G'AIM'E gun – which we reviewed back in November of 2025 – but improves accuracy and latency. The Lite is an entirely different product which forgoes the "AI-assisted" camera-based tech of the standard G'AIM'E and uses gyro technology instead, similar to how the Nintendo Wii Remote was used for this genre of game.

As noted by Game Watch, the shortcoming of this approach is that the cursor 'drifts' over time and needs to be manually reset by the user; however, Game Watch reports that aiming is responsive and there's little lag.

According to a Game Watch report, these devices are part of a "technology demonstration" and will not be released as products "in their current form."

Tassei Denki is also revising the SKUs for its current G'AIM'E model and is releasing two new options. The "Family Pack" includes two gun-type controllers and one system, while the "Entry / Economy Pack" includes one gun-type controller and one system. The pedal controller – used in Time Crisis – is not included in either pack.
